Join a team of three dedicated TA professionals building a world-class, globally informed recruiting function. We focus on humanizing the hiring process through transparency, reliability, and an exceptional candidate experience. We serve as Emburse’s hub for talent expertise, developing strong partnerships and diverse, high-quality talent pipelines.
This is a hybrid role based in our lovely Toronto office 3 days per week, to foster our fun and collaborative culture!
Position Summary
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist leads sourcing and closing strategies, influences hiring outcomes, and drives impactful recruiting programs. This role requires comfort with ambiguity, independent execution, and strong collaboration across regions and teams.
Essential Functions
Scope & Influence
Manage 8–12 complex, concurrent searches.
Own sourcing and closing strategies, often in undefined or evolving scenarios.
Deliver independently and in partnership with hiring managers, HR, and Finance.
Execution
Lead scalable, innovative sourcing and closing strategies.
Remove hiring barriers and accelerate the recruiting process.
Balance short- and long-term priorities in challenging situations.
Drive cross-functional alignment and adoption of recruiting methodologies.
Provide expertise and guidance to partners at all levels.
Communication
Communicate clearly and concisely in all formats.
Facilitate detailed discussions and present decisions confidently to senior leaders (up to 3 tiers above).
Impact
Influence hiring outcomes, efficiency, and performance metrics.
Support initiatives with significant cross-regional reach.
Process Improvement
Improve and streamline recruiting processes.
Establish predictable workflows and champion new tools and channels.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in high-growth environments.
At least 2 recent years sourcing and screening highly technical, software development talent.
SaaS recruiting experience preferred.
Experience with ATS platforms required; Experience with Lever a plus.

Ability to influence hiring outcomes and manage projects effectively.
Proven process improvement and tool adoption experience.
