We are looking for a Senior Telecom Construction & Deployment Lead to provide technical leadership, coordination, and execution support within a network implementation organization.
In this role, you will provide functional leadership across the construction and deployment of telecommunications infrastructure for assigned sites. You will serve as a key technical and operational point of contact, coordinating activities across Ericsson, customers, suppliers, contractors, and field teams to ensure successful delivery of assigned deployments.
The role covers the end-to-end construction and deployment process, including site readiness and feasibility, construction planning, supplier coordination, non-FPP work, equipment and material issues, budget and scope management, quality, EHS, and project execution.
What you will do• Provide functional and technical leadership for telecommunications construction and deployment activities across assigned sites.• Coordinate activities and stakeholders, customers, suppliers, contractors, and field teams in accordance with requirements and customer contracts.• Act as a key escalation point for complex technical, operational, construction, and deployment issues.• Interpret customer scope, throughput targets, and end requirements and translate them into executable construction and deployment plans.• Assess site readiness and feasibility and determine the appropriate build approach, including self-perform versus supplier execution.• Plan, coordinate, and follow up on construction and deployment activities to support effective rollouts.• Coordinate suppliers and contractors based on technical expertise, cost, quality, and delivery requirements.• Manage work orders, non-FPP activities, and related compensation processes.• Support budget management and ensure adherence to financial and project guidelines.• Provide effort and scope estimates during pre-sales and early project phases to support accurate budgeting and planning.• Identify and resolve equipment, material, construction, and deployment issues, coordinating with the appropriate internal and external stakeholders.• Plan and follow up on quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with project and customer standards.• Ensure construction activities are executed in compliance with Project OHS/EHS requirements and applicable statutory regulations.• Provide technical guidance on construction solutions and establish the appropriate order of operations.• Support and guide Field Construction Managers and other field stakeholders through complex construction and deployment activities.• Interface directly with customers, property owners, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to drive execution and resolve issues.
The skills you bring
• Bachelor's degree, in Engineering or related fields in construction.• Significant hands-on experience managing telecommunications construction projects, particularly tower and new site builds.• Fluent English skills.• Proven experience providing technical solutions and guiding construction and deployment order of operations.• Strong experience assessing site feasibility and providing site design and construction consulting.• Experience managing and coordinating contractors and suppliers and estimating scope for civil works, ground works, L&A, backhaul, fiber, power, and maintenance activities.• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in complex field and deployment environments.• Deep understanding of site acquisition, zoning, permitting, landlord negotiations, leasing requirements, jurisdictional requirements, and environmental compliance.• Ability to effectively interface with customers, property owners, suppliers, contractors, and internal/external stakeholders.• Strong understanding of contracts, including leasing, vendor-facing, and customer-facing agreements.• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including scope, cost, and budget considerations.• Demonstrated ability to provide functional leadership without direct people-management responsibility.• Strong communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and negotiation skills.• Good understanding of EHS statutory requirements.• Completion of OSHA 30-hour telecom course.• Experience scoping NSB, NSB Power, and Fiber Walks.
