What you will do

As a key member of the Trade Customization team, this individual is responsible for the overall development, execution, and project management of CLUB, promotional, bonus and make-to-stock (MTS) items and potentially other new programs. They will lead the design of new TC projects with our vendors and align with cross functional partners to prepare for governance meetings. They will be responsible for facilitating discussions with vendors on cost improvement initiatives. The Senior Trade Customization Planner will be seen as Subject Matter Expect and solve broader issues and provide process improvement solutions to the team. They are accountable to deliver key metrics including OTIF-PA, CIPs, SLOB and inventory.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for delivering against target for all key metrics, including the OTIF-PA, inventory/SLOB, vulnerability reporting, for all CLUB, Promotional, Bonus & MTS SKUs
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing partners to lead the design stage of new TC projects with Third Party Suppliers that meet our customers’ criteria
  • Deliver cost savings (or cost avoidance) and sustainability improvement through working with suppliers to develop innovative solutions and track progress towards cost savings targets.
  • Execution of assigned projects through participation in display/bonus governance and monthly CDR meetings to keep pace with requirements and communicate status updates or risks
  • Initiate code creation process with Master Data, create contract and BOM in system.
  • Manage supply plans for assigned projects, collaborate with internal supply chain, commercial and trade promotion partners and align on feasibility to forecast. Places Finished Good orders with vendors and collaborates with Procurement to ensure quotes are aligned to contract and resolves invoice discrepancies.  
  • Responsible for monthly inventory reconciliation for assigned projects at all TC sites
  • Partner with QA to mitigate risk on any compliance concerns.
  • Drive broader TC process improvements

 

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • University degree is required, preferably in Business, Marketing or other related field.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a similar or related role, including project management and/or supply chain management.
  • Proficient in MS Office software
  • Knowledge of the Customers, the retail environment and their expectations related to product and promotions.
  • Thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment – demonstrates ability to work and effectively manage priorities.
  • Effective communication, ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Track record at working at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills, maintaining effective working relationships with external suppliers (Third Party Vendors) as well as numerous internal cross-functional business partners.

  • SAP knowledge an asset
  • Prior people management experience an asset.

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:$72,000.00 - $116,150.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
