About the Team

Domain management is the foundation for any online presence and Cloudflare Registrar is our answer to a simple and straightforward experience. The Registrar product manages the full lifecycle of the domains, including searching/registering for new domains and transferring/renewing/deleting existing ones. Onboarding domains on Cloudflare is the gateway to the vast array of Cloudflare services.
Cloudflare's Engineering Team builds and runs the software that handles large amounts of requests on the Internet today. We also build and run the internal tools and platforms that run that software. Individual engineering teams are typically responsible for large areas with considerable impact, and able to execute autonomously within that space to deliver value to their customers - be they internal or external.
What you'll do
We're seeking a senior UI Systems Engineer to lead the Registrar UI Team at Cloudflare. You'll be responsible for the core technology that drives the Cloudflare Dashboard. You'll be pioneering new techniques and tooling to move away from a traditional monolithic application and onto Cloudflare's innovative Web Fragments. You will set best practices.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor the team to build, migrate, and scale Cloudflare Registrar UI.
  • Set and promote best practices for UI development and evangelize the transition across engineering teams.
  • Drive UI infrastructure excellence, including CI/CD, observability, and experimentation tools.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver self-serviceable, cohesive user experiences.
  • Tackle cross-cutting concerns to improve developer velocity and code quality.

Qualifications
  • We want someone who understands and obsesses over front-end systems.
  • Has built new technology that powers important systems.
  • Experience leading a team
  • A self-directing nature, keen to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
  • Experience coordinating projects across multiple teams and experience with driving migrations from monolith to modular frameworks is a plus.
  • Empathetic and clear communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and technical evangelism skills.
  • Experience building and scaling large-scale web applications.
  • Expertise in React.js, TypeScript, and modern front-end systems.

Bonus Points
  • Experience with Ruby or Go (used by the back end team)
  • Experience with Kibana, Grafana, and/or Prometheus
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g. Postgres)
  • Experience with DNS (and DNSSEC)
  • Experience in the registry/registrar industry
