The Senior Vice President, IT is responsible for overseeing the technology strategy and direction of an organization. The SVP possesses strong leadership skills, strategic thinking and extensive experience in IT management, with a deep understanding of the business’s technological needs.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Strategically focus on future-state enterprise applications architecture and roadmap that eliminates siloed point solutions and creates an integrated, scalable operating platform for GWCTX.
  • Responsible for ensuring that technology investments align with business needs, get implemented effectively, and deliver measurable impact.
  • Develops planning and maintenance strategies of the organizations data technology operations, including computer hardware, software, and telecommunications.  
  • A partner to business leaders, working closely with retail, mission services, education, business services, staffing, Finance, HR and e-commerce teams to define technology requirements and priorities.
  • Responsible for developing and executing a technology roadmap that supports operational efficiency, scalability, and innovation.
  • Focused on leading and mentoring a small but dedicated technology team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Accountable for delivering enterprise technology projects on time, within scope, and on budget, while ensuring stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Responsible for vendor and partner management, ensuring that third-party solutions, partners, and integrations align with the organization's strategic direction.
  • A leader in IT governance, data security, and compliance, ensuring that technology decisions align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • A role that requires adaptability, as our organization evolves and scales its impact in retail, education, business services, staffing, and e-commerce.
  • A thought leader in emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence and machine learning. This role will lead the creation and implementation of an AI Strategy for GWCTX.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has supervisory responsibilities over the entire Information Technology team. 


Required Skills & Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of experience in IT leadership (5+ years if Enterprise Systems Manager), including enterprise architecture, application development, and business systems integration.
  • Experience in multi-channel retail, e-commerce, education technology, or workforce solutions preferred.
  • Proven ability to align IT strategy with business objectives and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong background in enterprise application consolidation and modernization, ideally with experience migrating from siloed point solutions to integrated platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in leading IT transformation efforts, including vendor selection, implementation, and change management.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP, CRM, POS, and e-commerce platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering enterprise-wide initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with AI, cloud-based architectures, data analytics, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • A servant-leadership mindset, with a passion for mentoring and developing a high-performing IT team.
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business, or a related field (MBA or equivalent experience preferred).

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
  • The ability to cope with and tolerate moderate levels of stress is also a necessity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
