Tecovas is looking for a Senior Womenswear Designer, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior designer to join us in shaping the future of Western-inspired women’s apparel.  Reporting directly to the Director of Apparel Design , you will play a pivotal role in shaping our women’s product line.

This role is ideally based in Austin, TX; however, we are open to considering remote candidates who are the right match for the role.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the design and development of women’s apparel collections, ensuring alignment with Tecovas’ brand identity
  • Create original concepts and translate them into detailed technical sketches, tech packs
  • Research market trends, fabrics, trims, and silhouettes to deliver innovative yet timeless designs
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Merchandising, and Production teams to ensure feasibility, cost efficiency, and timely execution
  • Oversee fittings, revisions, and approvals while maintaining design integrity
  • Adhere to seasonal calendars and deliverables, consistently meeting key milestones
  • Actively self-manage projects and timelines, ensuring accountability for meeting goals without excessive oversight
  • Contribute to building the long-term vision of Tecovas women’s apparel line

Experience we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of professional design experience in women’s apparel
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrications, and fit
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a task-oriented and organized approach
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and self-police deadlines
  • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PLM)
  • Strong communication skills and experience successfully collaborating across teams
  • Bonus points for Experience with Western-inspired or heritage brands is a plus.
  • Bonus points for focus on soft wovens, dresses, blouses

  • You are a  collaborative team player who thrives on partnering across functions to bring ideas to life and achieve shared goals.
  • You have a meticulous eye for fit, finishing, and fabric quality
  • You can comfortably juggling multiple projects while adhering to a seasonal calendar.
