Conduct keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO checks, link-building support, competitor analysis, and content briefing. Track rankings, traffic, and conversions while preparing performance reports and monitoring search engine updates. The intern will receive mentoring and gain practical experience with SEO and analytics tools.
Responsibilities
- Research keywords and group them by search intent, volume and difficulty.
- Optimize on-page elements: title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal links and image alt text.
- Run basic technical checks for broken links, crawl errors, page speed and indexing issues.
- Support link building through prospect research, outreach emails and directory or profile submissions.
- Analyze competitor websites to find keyword and backlink gaps.
- Help plan and brief SEO content, and review drafts against the target keywords.
- Track rankings, traffic and conversions, and prepare weekly performance reports.
- Keep up with search engine updates and share what changes for our work.
Requirements
No prior work experience is needed. We are looking for curiosity and willingness to learn.
Must have
- A basic understanding of how search engines work and what SEO is.
- Good written English.
- Comfort with Google Sheets or Excel.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A current student or recent graduate in marketing, business, IT or a related field.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or tools such as Ubersuggest, Ahrefs or Semrush.
- Basic knowledge of WordPress and HTML.
- A personal blog, website or any SEO project you have worked on.
