About the role

Thatch is rewiring how health benefits work. We're looking for an SEO & Performance Content Lead to build organic search into a durable growth channel.

You'll own our SEO strategy end to end, from identifying opportunities to building the systems, content, and team that drive meaningful business results. You'll partner closely with Marketing, Product Marketing, and Engineering to make search a core part of how we grow.

What you'll do
  • Own SEO strategy across technical SEO, content, AI search, and organic acquisition.
  • Develop content strategies that answer real buyer questions and drive qualified traffic.
  • Build and scale our SEO function, including hiring and leading the team over time.
  • Partner closely with Engineering to improve site architecture, performance, and technical SEO.
  • Build AI-enabled workflows that improve research, content creation, optimization, and measurement.
  • Establish editorial standards that balance quality with speed.
  • Measure performance across organic traffic, pipeline, and revenue, and use those insights to improve the strategy.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Brand, Legal, and Sales to publish accurate, high-impact content. 
What we're looking for
  • You've built or significantly scaled an SEO program.
  • Deep knowledge of technical SEO, content strategy, and AI search.
  • Experience leading SEO for a B2B SaaS or similarly complex business.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve research, content creation, and operational efficiency.
  • Comfort partnering closely with Engineering and Design teams.
  • Experience hiring or managing teams, agencies, or contractors.
  • A track record of connecting SEO investments to business outcomes.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building processes from scratch. 
Experience that stands out
  • Built SEO from an early-stage foundation.
  • Grew organic acquisition in a competitive B2B market.
  • Built AI-native workflows for SEO and content operations.
  • Deep technical SEO expertise across site architecture, schema, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Experience with AI search, AI Overviews, or answer engines.
