The opportunity

The ServiceNow Software Developer I analyzes, developing, testing, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions that support business processes across the organization. You will contribute throughout the full application development lifecycle and help build, enhancing ServiceNow applications, the Service Portal, workflows, and system integrations.

You will work with partners, platform administrators, and fellow developers in an Agile environment to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions that promote our ServiceNow roadmap.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications, modules, and features, including Incident, Request, Change, and Problem Management.
  • Develop solutions for the Service Portal, custom applications, UI components, and mobile experiences that help us deliver a great user experience.
  • Build and maintain client-side and server-side scripts using JavaScript, AngularJS, Jelly, JEXL, HTML, and CSS.
  • Configure and extend ServiceNow workflows, flows, business rules, UI policies, UI actions, and related platform capabilities to help us automate and improve business processes.
  • Evaluate business and technical requirements and recommend implementation approaches that align with our platform strategy and organizational goals.
  • Gather partner requirements and analyze functional and technical needs.
  • Take ownership of assigned our requirements and guide them through development, testing, and deployment.
  • Advise partners on opportunities to automate, enhance, and optimize processes using ServiceNow and help us maximize the value of the platform.
  • Take ownership of complex our requirements and guide them through design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using APIs, web services, custom connectors, and commercial integration tools.
  • Ensure data integrity, security and reliability across all integrations.
  • Provide guidance on ServiceNow database design and schema usage to support application requirements and help us maintain scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Support ServiceNow-related incident resolution and support the stability and reliability of our platform.
  • Monitor platform and application performance and troubleshoot functionality and performance issues to help us deliver a dependable user experience.
  • Participate in system testing to ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Support system availability during maintenance windows, platform impacts, or degraded performance, including work outside normal business hours.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and data flow models that help us understand and enhance system functionality and integrations.
  • Communicate effectively with partners ranging from end-users to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with other developers to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and development best practices while helping us foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support project planning, delivery, releases, and deployments aligned with our ServiceNow roadmap and Agile methodologies.
  • Work with ServiceNow and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues and help us optimize platform performance and usage.
  • Perform administrator functions when needed to support continuity of platform operations.
  • Contribute to ongoing platform improvements, innovation initiatives, and process enhancements that help us achieve our strategic goals.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience developing within the ServiceNow platform or similar enterprise platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field.
  • Equivalent of experience in lieu of degree acceptable
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
  • Information Technology Service Management Certification (or equivalent ITSM certification)
  • Experience writing code, building Application Programming Interface, custom connectors, and platform customizations
  • Experience with software architecture principles, database design, data structures, and software development lifecycles
  • Experience troubleshooting and enhancing existing code and applications

Compensation


The annual pay range for this position is $88,130.00 - $141,036.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $97,384.00 - $131,756.00.
