The Services Engagement Manager (SEM) is responsible for setting our customers up for success and representing the entire value proposition and effort behind a Veeva ClinData Implementation. This is a critical role in ensuring successful customer engagements during the scoping and planning phase to establish the right strategy for implementation success. The SEM is an integral part of the sales cycle, acting as a solution expert working in close alignment with the Veeva Sales, Strategy, and Services Teams.
Utilizing their own clinical trial systems experience and Veeva product knowledge, they will structure the right solution, set the right expectations, and identify the appropriate project charter, including staffing, timeframes, and associated costs. Delivery of Proposals and Statements of Work (SOW) is a key deliverable from the SEM, along with potential implementation partner recommendations and strategic alignment of the team prior to project start.
What You'll Do
- Align closely with services and sales teams to provide implementation proposals and establish confidence with prospects in our ability to deliver
- Set client and internal stakeholder expectations correctly with a focus on long-term success
- Provide awareness and alignment with the partner ecosystem
- Position support, training, and other solutions that may be needed for a successful customer experience
- Travel estimate: Less than 25%
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in delivering consulting services or involvement in selling services for Clinical Data Applications with a proven track record
- 2+ years of experience scoping/defining project plans, resource models, and negotiation of Statements of Work for software implementation projects
- Understanding of the data capture for the clinical trials domain, including how EDC works with IVRS, safety systems, CTMS and downstream databases, and eCOA
- Familiarity in working with the Life Sciences Industry
- Ability to engage audiences of varying perception levels, including working with executive leadership
- Strong negotiation skills
- Collaborative and consultative work style
- Works well under pressure and with short or competing timelines
- Ability to travel

Compensation
- Base pay: $85,000 - $170,000
- The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
