About the role

We are looking to add a Site Maintenance Crew Member to our growing Maintenance Department. As a Site Maintenance Crew Member, you will be responsible for maintaining site equipment, vehicles, and facility systems to ensure they remain in good, safe, and reliable working condition. This is a hands-on role focused on mechanical maintenance, equipment upkeep, troubleshooting, and general site maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with lawn mowers, weed eaters, ATVs/UTVs, generators, fleet vehicles, heavy-duty equipment, and other small engine or mechanical equipment. This on-site position will directly support our maintenance operations at our Rockdale, TX facility. This shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs on site equipment, vehicles, and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain and service lawn mowers, weed eaters, generators, ATVs, UTVs, scissor lifts and other small engine equipment.
  • Perform basic maintenance and upkeep on fleet vehicles and heavy-duty equipment, including routine inspections and identifying maintenance or repair needs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine when equipment requires repair, replacement, or additional support.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and vehicles to identify safety concerns, wear, damage, or maintenance needs.
  • Keep all equipment, vehicles, and tools in good, safe, and reliable working condition.
  • Perform oil changes, fluid checks, filter changes, lubrication, battery maintenance, and other basic preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with repairs, installations, upgrades, and larger maintenance projects as needed.
  • Maintain accurate awareness of equipment condition and communicate repair or maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance area, including proper storage of tools, parts, and equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and manufacturer guidelines when operating or maintaining equipment.
  • Work closely with maintenance team members, supervisors, contractors, and other departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance logs.


What you'll have

  • Hands-on mechanical or maintenance experience with small engines, vehicles, equipment, or industrial machinery.
  • General knowledge of lawn mowers, weed eaters, ATVs/UTVs, generators, fleet vehicles, and heavy-duty equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to identify equipment issues and determine appropriate maintenance or repair needs.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on keeping equipment in safe and reliable working condition.
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain various types of mechanical and powered equipment.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a maintenance team.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Prior mechanical, fleet, facilities, equipment, agricultural, automotive, or industrial maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Technical or mechanical certifications are preferred but not required and may include automotive, diesel, HVAC, small engine repair, ATV/UTV, industrial maintenance, or related certifications.
  • High School Diploma or GED.


Physical requirements and work environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed (50 pounds)
  • Ability to work onsite in a mining or data center environment (heat, noise, etc.)
  • Exposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures
Safety Requirements
  • PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots).
  • Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training.
  • Organization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.
