Social Event Sales Manager


Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Social Event Sales Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for providing information, coordinating sales, and organizing events for guests and groups interested in visiting the Waterpark, Tom Foolery’s, or one of our private dining spaces within our restaurants.


As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll create memorable guest experiences by coordinating seamless events and building strong relationships with guests from initial inquiry through event execution.


This is an hourly management position that is eligible for commission.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Book and coordinate events, including waterpark parties, Tom Foolery’s parties, lock-in events, and private dining experiences for groups of 12 or more that are not associated with Group Sales bookings or overnight room accommodations.
  • Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts through phone calls, email outreach, and in-person networking.
  • Follow up on all leads and inquiries to maximize booking opportunities and revenue growth.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including proposals, contracts, event details, and final execution coordination.
  • Collaborate with resort departments to ensure seamless event planning and guest satisfaction.
  • Promote all resort amenities, special packages, promotions, and entertainment offerings to prospective guests.
  • Participate in community and networking events to increase brand awareness and business development opportunities.

What We’re Looking For 

  • Four-year bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management and/or four-year bachelor’s degree are preferred but not required.
  • Experience and proven success in developing and closing group business is required.
  • Waterpark group sales experience, event planning and related terminology are
  • Have a broad understanding of the tourism industry and the day-to-day operations of a hotel/resort/waterpark are helpful.
  • Flexible and long hours are sometimes required, including weekends and holidays.
