Social Media Content Coordinator (Videography/Photography)

Reports to:      Social Media Lead

Location:         Central Office

Summary of Role

The Social Media Content Creator brings Celebration Church’s brand to life by producing visually compelling photo and video content for digital platforms. This role leads the creation of short-form videos and high-quality imagery that engages our audience, strengthens our online presence, and supports the overall vision of the Church.

Position Status & Schedule

  • Non-Exempt, Hourly
  • Full-time (40 hours)
  • Sunday through Thursday; may include evenings and weekends.
  • Christmas, Easter, Pursuit Weeks (January/August), and Dream Team Appreciation service dates and times are blackout days for time off. Additionally, Tier 1 Conferences and Events are required workdays for this role. Other events may be required outside of your regular schedule; you will be informed in advance of any requirements.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

 

Content Creation & Execution

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, brand, and product teams to ensure cohesive visual storytelling and messaging across all platforms.
  • Plan, shoot, and edit engaging short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.
  • Capture high-quality photography, and social content for social posts, marketing campaigns, website use, and product features.
  • Conceptualize and execute visual content that tells a story, communicates brand messaging, and follows current trends.
  • Handle the entire production process: from pre-production planning, lighting, shooting, and directing talent, to post-production editing.
  • Maintain a consistent brand aesthetic through both still and motion content.
  • Manage end-to-end video production, including planning, scripting, filming, editing, sound, and basic motion graphics
  • Execute promotional photo shoots for ministry needs (includes scheduling, set up/props, location prep, etc.)
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends, platform features, and viral formats to keep content fresh, relevant, and engaging.

 

Content and Asset Management

  • Monitor content performance and use analytics to refine and optimize future content.
  • Organize and manage a growing library of visual assets (raw and edited).
  • Maintain organized image library of all Church photography
  • Maintain an inventory of all photography equipment, ensuring lenses, cameras, and other items are accounted for and in good, working condition

 

Dream Team

  • Identify, build, train, and mentor the Social Media Content Team and Photography Dream Team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
  • Delegate effectively, giving appropriate autonomy while providing the support, tools, and feedback needed for others to thrive.
  • Proactively recruit new team members, identify individual strengths, and create intentional opportunities for growth and development.
  • Roster photographers and social media Dream Team members for services and events, ensuring coverage aligns with ministry needs.
  • Communicate content needs clearly, maintain strong relationships with Dream Team across locations, and uphold quality standards in photography and social media output.

 

Contribute to the overall success of Celebration Church by performing all other duties as needed

Competencies

  • Proven experience in both videography and photography for social media, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates your creative range.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop) and/or equivalent tools like Final Cut Pro, and CapCut.
  • Comfortable using DSLR/mirrorless cameras and mobile devices for both video and photography.
  • Capture and edit images/ content for events, conferences, and weekend services
  • Collaborate on and provide photography needs of ministries and pastors
  • Distribute images to teams as requested for various projects and initiatives
  • Strong understanding of framing, lighting, composition, and color grading for digital media.
  • A sharp eye for visual trends and the ability to adapt them creatively to brand content.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple content projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to balance creativity with brand guidelines and marketing objectives
  • Conceptualize and storyboard creative video ideas that align with campaign goals, brand voice, and current trends.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and what drives engagement on each
  • Familiarity with platform specific best practices and content formats (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn)
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and selected events

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 1+ years of photography and editing experience preferred
  • Minimum 1+ years of video creation experience, editing experience a plus
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience serving on or leading a Celebration Dream Team a plus
  • Knowledge of Lightroom required

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office and Church facility.
  • Must be able to position self to maintain supplies and equipment on lower shelves and in closets.
  • Frequently move supplies and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Constantly work in open office environment
  • Ability to work outside in various climates and temperatures
