Design, implement, test, and operate APIs, services, and cloud-based solutions (AWS). Own features end-to-end, support production systems and on-call rotations, use spec-driven and test-first development, collaborate with product, UX, and engineering, and improve system performance and reliability.
As a Software Engineer II, you will work with a team of engineers to deliver solutions that support how dealers acquire and exit inventory. The team builds applications using C# and Stencil, running on AWS, combining backend services with modern web interfaces to deliver reliable and highly available systems. The role focuses on contributing to the design, development, testing, and deployment of software, with ownership of individual features and components.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, UX, and solution delivery teams to deliver incremental value while maintaining system stability. This includes supporting production systems and participating in on-call rotations, building strong fundamentals in incident response and continuous improvement.
Strong engineering practices are expected, including testing-first development and effective use of AI-assisted development tools. The team follows a spec-driven development approach, where clear, well-defined specifications guide implementation and AI-generated code. This includes working from structured requirements, validating outputs against those specifications, and contributing to software that is reliable, maintainable, and aligned with intended behavior.
This is a hybrid role based in Austin, TX with an in-office requirement.
