Who we are:

Quavo is the industry leader in fraud and disputes management technology, offering the world’s only E2E cloud-based Disputes as a Service solution for issuing financial services organizations. Quavo is an organization of tenacious experts who are innovative and challenge complacency to continuously deliver cutting edge technology and AI. Our experts are passionate about delivering value in our solutions and empowering our client community to enhance and evolve industry standards in fraud and disputes management.

Who you are:

Quavo is looking for authentic and courageous professionals to join our team. If you are a driven, accountable, and innovative problem solver searching for a collaborative environment of like-minded teammates dedicated to improving the client experience…. Then you are going to love working at Quavo!

About the role:

As a Software QA Engineer at Quavo, you’ll ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our products across the full development lifecycle. You’ll go beyond Acceptance Criteria, thinking like an end user to uncover issues in functionality, security, and UX, and catching problems early by reviewing requirements in refinement.

You’ll work AI-first with Quavo’s Claude Code QA skills for test planning, execution, and bug filing, while remaining accountable for every output you approve. You’ll test Pega/QFD workflows, validate data with read-only Snowflake SQL, and publish traceable evidence to Jira and BrowserStack. You’ll also verify regulatory coverage (Reg E, Reg Z, NACHA, PCI, UDAAP) and maintain audit-ready evidence for SOC2 and PCI-DSS.

Partnering with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Onboarding, Services, and Client Experience, you’ll be an active voice in Agile ceremonies, investigate customer issues, and contribute to Confluence. Over time, you’ll become a subject-matter expert on Quavo’s products, supporting release readiness and guiding clients with confidence.

This role is not sponsorship eligible. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities include:

AI-Assisted Testing

  • Operate the QA skills framework. Use Quavo's Claude Code QA skills for board sync, test planning, execution, sign-off, kickbacks, and bug filing.
  • Own every AI-generated output. Review, correct, and approve all drafts before they post to Jira or BrowserStack. You are accountable for the result, not the tool.
  • Contribute product context, compliance dimensions, and reusable test procedures into skills to improve future performance.

Test Planning and Execution

  • Develop and execute test plans to Quavo's ten-point standard covering acceptance criteria mapping, traceability, compliance applicability, and known-gap disclosure that go beyond defined Acceptance Criteria.
  • Test Pega/QFD case lifecycles, flows, decision rules, and data transforms; inspect and compare branches and trace each branch to its Jira ticket.
  • Validate data with read-only SQL against QFD in Snowflake, following PII masking and tenant isolation rules.
  • Ensure product quality in all areas: functionality, reliability, performance, security, and UX. Think like an end user.
  • Publish test cases, runs, and evidence to BrowserStack Test Management to maintain full traceability.

Compliance and Release Readiness

  • Tag and verify regulatory coverage across Reg E, Reg Z, NACHA, PCI, and UDAAP.
  • Maintain test evidence that supports SOC2 and PCI-DSS audits; use synthetic or masked data and never commit secrets or PII.

Collaboration and Shift-Left

  • Participate in sprint ceremonies: standups, refinement, pointing, and retrospectives.
  • Find defects early by reviewing requirements in refinement and applying Quavo's Definition of Ready.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Onboarding, Services, Infrastructure, and Client Experience to drive quality.
  • Investigate customer complaints and product issues.
  • Contribute regularly to Confluence and become a Subject Matter Expert on Quavo's products.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience with a proven track record.
  • ISTQB or other quality/testing certification.
  • 2+ years testing a low-code BPM platform.
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI tools in daily work, with the judgment to spot and challenge incorrect or unsupported results.
  • Basic SQL, Git, and command-line proficiency.
  • Understanding of the disputes and fraud domain (Reg E and Reg Z disputes, chargebacks, card network rules), or a demonstrated ability to learn it quickly.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Not afraid to ask questions; communicates with tact.
  • Works well on a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and asks for help early.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Pega (case types, flows, Tracer, Clipboard)
  • Pega CSA or CSSA certification.
  • Test automation experience, especially Playwright with TypeScript.
  • API testing experience (e.g., Postman).
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as CloudWatch, Lambda, and SQS.
  • Experience in FinTech or another regulated industry.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, BrowserStack, and SharePoint.
