You will define and govern solution designs, integrating with telecom and financial ecosystems to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant services. The role works across the Ericsson Fintech Platform / Ericsson Wallet Platform (EWP) and its open API architecture to enable robust mobile financial solutions.

What you will do
  • Discovery & Requirements
  • Elicit business and non-functional requirements; translate into architecture principles, patterns, and interface contracts.
  • Architecture & Design
  • Own E2E solution architecture: domain models, service decomposition, integration patterns, security zones, data flows, and scaling strategies.
  • Leverage microservices and containerized components to build resilient, cloud-ready deployments.
  • Security & Compliance
  • Design for security-by-default (encryption in transit/at rest, secrets handling, IAM), fraud management, and regulatory adherence (AML/KYC, PCI-DSS, PSD2).
  • Integration & APIs
  • Define and govern API-first integrations (REST, events) across wallets, charging/billing, merchant acquiring, remittance, identity, and risk engines; ensure open ecosystem extensibility.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure
  • Guide target-state on Kubernetes, hybrid/public cloud, networking, and observability; ensure HA/DR, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Data & Reliability
  • Architect for auditability, idempotency, exactly-once / at-least-once processing where required; design data retention and lineage.
  • Delivery Governance
  • Produce and maintain HLD/LLD, sequence diagrams, interface specs, security and compliance traceability; run design reviews and gate approvals.
  • Stakeholder Leadership
  • Partner with product, engineering, operations, security, compliance, and customer teams; provide pre-sales support (RFI/RFP, SoW scoping) and solution costing.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Benchmark platform capabilities; drive roadmap inputs for scale, security, and ecosystem growth aligned to Ericsson Mobile Financial Services strategy.

The skills you bring
  • 8+ years in solution architecture for fintech/payments/mobile money; 3+ years leading complex integrations across telecom/financial ecosystems.
  • Hands-on with API-first platforms; experience with EWP / wallet platforms strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of payments domains: wallet, P2P, merchant payments, collections/disbursements, remittance, savings/loans.
  • Expertise in cloud-native design: Kubernetes, service mesh, ingress/egress, secrets, CI/CD, SRE, and observability.
  • Security/regulatory: PCI-DSS, AML/KYC, PSD2/Open Banking, data privacy; threat modeling and fraud controls.
  • Integration: REST/JSON, events/streaming, message queues, OAuth/OIDC; patterns (saga, outbox, CQRS).
  • Data: relational/NoSQL, ledgering, reconciliation, reporting/BI.
  • Strong communication; able to simplify complexity for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred skills:
  • Deployments with CSPs and large enterprises; scaling agent networks and merchant ecosystems.
  • Performance tuning for high-transaction platforms and real-time risk.
  • Familiarity with Ericsson Mobile Financial Services portfolio and reference architectures.
  • Certifications: CISSP/CCSP, CISA, AWS/Azure Architect, CKA/CKAD.
  • 10-15% travel for customer workshops, design reviews, and launches. only as needed.
