Lightedge is seeking a customer-focused Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers. In this strategic technical role, you will partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and executive customer stakeholders to develop secure, scalable, and business-aligned cloud architectures that accelerate digital transformation.

Responsibilities:
- Design secure, scalable private, public, and hybrid cloud solutions leveraging Lightedge's VMware-based private cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or a combination of these platforms to meet customer business and technical requirements.
- Serve as a lead technical architect for Lightedge's most complex and strategic customer engagements.
- Partner with Account Executives throughout the pre-sales cycle to develop solution strategies and communicate technical value.
- Lead customer discovery sessions, architecture workshops, technical presentations, executive briefings, and proof-of-concept activities.
- Develop migration strategies that align VMware and on-premises workloads with the most appropriate target platform, including Lightedge's VMware-based private cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Leverage the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) and Microsoft Azure Migrate and Modernize (AMM) to develop customer migration strategies, maximize available funding opportunities, and accelerate successful cloud adoption.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with Lightedge service offerings.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer engagement lifecycle, providing architectural guidance and technical leadership from discovery through solution delivery.
- Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, reusable reference architectures, and architectural standards that support consistent solution design and delivery. Mentor Solutions Architects and contribute to the development of best practices and technical enablement across the organization.
- Continuously expand expertise in AWS, Microsoft Azure, and hybrid cloud technologies while evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends to strengthen Lightedge's cloud portfolio and technical capabilities.
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification is required or must be successfully obtained within 90 days of hire. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is highly desired.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and Microsoft Azure services, architecture best practices, and cloud-native design principles.
- Experience with VMware virtualization, infrastructure modernization, and cloud migration planning.
- Knowledge of the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) and Microsoft Azure Migrate and Modernize (AMM) is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of enterprise compute, storage, networking, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, virtualization, and current infrastructure technologies from leading vendors such as Dell Technologies, VMware, Pure Storage, Veeam, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience supporting enterprise sales opportunities and presenting technical solutions to both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, influence cross-functional teams, and mentor peers.
