Data as a Service (DaaS) is not for first-time closers or those without 3+ years of selling experience. Experience with a more technical product or one with a significant API component allows for an easier transition into the data space.

The Opportunity

  • Act as a key technical expert and trusted advisor for the sales team, customers, and partners, with the goal of helping our customers achieve their goals with data

  • Be an accessible technical translator for our customers who are buying data for the first time as well as the non-technical business stakeholders for our more sophisticated data buyers

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own our incredibly important data evaluation process for all new business opportunities in your book of business (new logos and upsells)

  • Support technical support questions and needs that are beyond the technical capabilities of our Customer Success Team

  • Live and breathe customer feedback to help improve our processes, customer experience, and most importantly, the quality of our data

  • Contribute to internal and external thought leadership opportunities, cementing your role as a consultant and advisor to our employees and customers

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and Big Data, with a strong ability to advise customers on tech stack architecture for Big Data and work with Rest APIs, including understanding their backend and inner workings

  • Capable of interpreting complex code for less technical team members and customers, and articulating said code and the benefits of its outcome//data

  • Proven history in building successful customer relationships, identifying and addressing their needs with effective solutions, and operating with technical autonomy

  • Ability to collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical backgrounds across our product, engineering, and revenue teams in addition to our many different types of customers

Nice To Have / Value-Add Experience

  • Elasticsearch

  • Technologies like Redshift, Azure, Mongo, etc.

  • Data products

  • Linux

  • Writing Kibana KQL & ElasticSearch queries

  • Writing complex queries

  • Cloud experience in AWS

  • Logfile exploration tooling (i.e. Kibana, Periscope, Graylog, etc.)

Comp: $150K Base / $30K Variable / $180K OTE
