JOB SUMMARY

As an Escrow Oversight Specialist, you will be responsible for specialized processes including but not limited to setting up mortgage insurance escrow lines on newly originated and acquired loans, tax, and insurance research to resolve outstanding items and escrow balance disbursements on paid in full loans.  This position will require your ability to perform Escrow Vendor Specialist tasks. Duties are to be performed in accordance with all US State and Federal laws/regulations as well as the company’s outlined policies and procedures. The approved starting pay range is $20.00-$23.50 per hour.
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Complete all tasks and responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. 

• Research and process FHA/PMI/USDA cancellation requests. 

• Assist with setting up escrow lines on newly originated and acquired FHA/PMI/USDA loans. 

• Research and resolve property discrepancies for our tax, insurance, and flood vendors. 

• Research and provide posting instructions for all tax, insurance, and PMI refunds. 

• Disburse funds on paid in full loans with an escrow balance. 

• Provide accurate and complete information to resolve issues and follow up on any outstanding issues or commitments promptly. 

• Escalates high level and complex escrow issues to senior staff and/or Team Lead and proposes possible solutions. 

• Provide productivity summary on a weekly and month-end basis. 

• Prepare complete and accurate documentation and updates to mortgagor loans in the system. 

• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. 
 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

• High school diploma or equivalent required.  College education preferred but not required. 

• Two to three (2-3) years of banking/finance/mortgage or escrow experience. 

• Previous experience using mortgage loan servicing and loan originating systems (such as FiServ/Sagent, Encompass, Digital Portal, AutoPilot, and OnBase).

• Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Excel, Teams, & Outlook) 

• Ability to perform duties and functions of Escrow Liaison Level I in addition to an Escrow Liaison Level II duties. 

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 

• Ability to self-motivate and work with limited supervision. 

• Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions. 

• Ability to troubleshoot basic escrow issues and make decisions that have significant impact on the department’s credibility, operations, and services. 

• Ability to organize and prioritize your own day. 

• Strong math skills, balance, and check results for accuracy 

• Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, communicating orally with others accurately, audibly, and quickly.
