FloSports is a world-class sports media company strategically positioned to be the essential  destination for passionate sports fans, delighting them with live event coverage, breaking news,  highlights, stats, rankings, and team and player profiles. We are growing Our Sports every day  by continuing to invest in our ever-expanding ecosystem, which consists of over a dozen sport  verticals and hundreds of streaming partners. FloSports is creating the home for college  conferences/leagues and sports like grappling, hockey, track & field, racing, cheer, wrestling,  and more, and we are looking for innovative and passionate people like you to help us!

THE ROLE:

FloSports is rethinking how procurement works at a fast-growing sports media company. We’re building internal tooling, leveraging AI (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), and creating scalable workflows that give us real visibility into every dollar we spend. We need someone who’s excited by that — not just processing purchase orders, but actively shaping how a modern SpendOps function runs. You’ll own vendor negotiations, manage a small distributed team, and have real impact from day one.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Vendor Negotiation: Lead contract renewals, push back on pricing, and right-size licenses. This is the most important part of the role.

  • Operational Ownership of Ramp: Manage credit card programs, purchase requests, spend controls, and policy compliance.

  • Travel and Vendor Coordination: Own travel logistics and vendor interactions. Handle exceptions with good judgment.

  • Contract Management: Track contracts, renewals, opt-out deadlines. Run quarterly audits to catch overage and underutilization.

  • Reporting and Dashboards: Build spend analytics and reports. Use AI tools to generate quick analyses rather than waiting on others.

  • Team Management: Supervise and support a small distributed team of contractors and part-time staff. Define workflows and document SOPs.

  • Process Optimization: Continuously refine procurement workflows to reduce overhead and improve accountability.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, and department leads to align processes with company goals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and vendor pricing.

  • Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to analyze data, build dashboards, and draft communications.

  • Excellent interpersonal and team management capabilities.

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and coordinating across global time zones.

  • Proficient in spend analysis and basic financial reporting.

  • Bias toward action — willing to roll up your sleeves.

PREFERRED

  • Experience with Ramp, Airbase, Brex, Navan, or similar platforms.

  • Familiarity with Tipalti, NetSuite, or other AP/ERP systems.

  • Background in procurement workflows and vendor management.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

BONUS

  • Background in finance, procurement, or business operations.

  • Previous experience working with distributed teams.

OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY:

At FloSports, we are bonded by our passion for sports and our purpose to unite communities around experiences that finally give underserved sports the love they deserve. We recognize the need to build a company that seeks out, embraces, and celebrates our individual differences, ideas, and talent. FloSports is committed to the pursuit of a fair, equal and inclusive workplace where everyone is given the opportunity to grow to their fullest potential.

OUR BENEFITS:

  • Recognized three years in a row as a Top Workplace by the Austin-American Statesman

  • Flexibility at work - you can take control of your profession and personal schedule

  • All-hands events hosted in beautiful Austin, Texas

  • Annual equity awards for all top performers

  • Competitive and comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans

  • Peace of mind through company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability and life insurance

  • Generous 401(K) company match vested immediately

  • Progressive parental leave policies

  • Flexible paid time off

  • Hack-a-thons and a full calendar of team-building and social events

  • Company donation to youth teams and leagues that our employees coach

  • Stocked snack bar, catered lunch and breakfast tacos every week
