In this role, you’ll own the entire data ecosystem from raw ingestion of data to final presentation ready datasets and visualizations. You’ll own core data models in our Enterprise Data Warehouse, partner closely with Finance, GTM, Product, and Operations teams, and help define best practices for analytics engineering across the company.

Job Description

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, well-documented data models that power executive dashboards, financial reporting, and operational analytics.
  • Own the entire ELT process, from raw source data to analytics-ready, production-grade data models.
  • Partner with upstream data ingestion teams to improve source data quality, reliability, and observability.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards through automated testing, documentation, and monitoring.
  • Contribute to data governance efforts, including access controls, data lineage, documentation, and metric consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Revenue Operations, GTM, Product, and Analytics teams to translate business requirements into scalable data models.
  • Enable data literacy and self-service analytics across the organization through participation in a Data Champions program.
  • Establish and contribute to analytics engineering best practices and shared documentation.
  • Review code and mentor junior analytics engineers, providing technical guidance and feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance, cost efficiency, and developer experience across the analytics and data platform.

Performance Measurement

  • Lead analytics engineering initiatives within assigned domains or subject areas, delivering trusted data models that support strategic product and business decisions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, transformation logic, and analytical assumptions to improve transparency and operational efficiency.
  • Design and deliver medium-term, high-impact data projects aligned with business priorities and cross-functional needs.
  • Improve team efficiency and stakeholder engagement by clarifying requirements, setting expectations, and communicating progress and tradeoffs.
  • Provide timely, reliable datasets and analytical support that enable stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or math-based discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analytics or engineering.
  • Expert-level SQL knowledge, with proficiency in large-scale data manipulation and performance optimization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects from ideation through execution.
  • Developed experience with data architecture, pipelines, and ELT processes.
  • Experience with dbt, Snowflake and Fivetran

 Competencies and Behaviours

  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all data-related tasks.
  • Customer-centric mindset, with a passion for delivering insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving, using data to drive decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R, along with SQL and BI tools.
