Support the Sr. Lead Data Product Owner to translate business needs into product requirements, maintain the backlog, track delivery, perform QA and application support, and engage stakeholders to drive product improvements and user adoption.
This role will report into the Sr. Lead, Data Product Owner, to gather and translate business requirements, coordinate product initiatives, and help ensure the application is delivered with quality and aligned to business needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and eager to grow in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities
- Product Planning & Requirements
- Support Sr. Lead, Data Product Owner in planning and executing the product roadmap
- Translate business and user needs into Product Requirements Documents, creating clear and actionable user stories and technical requirements for design and development teams
- Develop a deep understanding of the application functionality and user workflows to identify opportunities for product enhancements and process improvements
- Maintain, prioritize, and refine the product backlog in collaboration with the PM
- Collaborate with data scientist to identify interesting user behavior trends or gaps that could indicate product opportunities/shortcomings.
- Project Delivery
- Track project timelines, sprint schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risks to support successful delivery. Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain detailed product documentation, project plans, decisions logs, etc.
- Identify opportunities to improve project workflows and documentation standards
- Application Support
- Support the day-to-day administration of the application, including content management, user support, and ongoing maintenance activities to ensure a high-quality user experience
- Perform quality assurance testing across user roles to validate new features
- Coordinate with technical teams to investigate, triage, and resolve user issues
- Build aligned strategy to maximize user understanding of the product and support successful engagement, including user guides, training videos, and user communications
- Stakeholder & User Engagement
- Develop a strong understanding of the workflows and needs of diverse user groups to ensure product enhancements effectively address business needs
- Gather, organize, and synthesize user feedback to help inform future product enhancements and backlog prioritization.
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and end users to understand evolving business needs and improve the overall user experience
- Support Sr Lead, Data Product Owner in building content for stakeholder engagement or user-facing presentations.
Required Qualifications:
Work Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in Product Management or a related field
- Experience working with technical products, software applications, or data products
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical requirements
- Proficiency with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Asana

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with across technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable communication
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative cross-functional relationships
