Provide project management, business process optimization, process analysis and consultation to business process owners and stakeholders in the development and implementation of business process optimization and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Utilize business process optimization, process research, process models and advanced optimization techniques to provide project management, consultation and in-depth analysis for internal stakeholders to improve business processes and solve complex optimization issues.
  • Lead medium to large scale business process optimization projects including project management oversight. Facilitate activities with business owners, quality assurance committee and enterprise leadership related to the following:
    • Defining and analyzing core business processes
    • Identifying key processes for review
    • Conducting gap analyses and developing strategic solutions
    • Modeling processes using Enterprise Business Process Management (EBPM) system
    • Performing process and optimization modeling and simulation
    • Developing measurements, improvements and implementing change
  • Design and facilitate workshops and training sessions on process improvement and business process optimization methodologies, business process management, process automation and process mining to leaders, business process owners and process improvement teams.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide actionable recommendations. Advise clients on best practices for process improvement and optimization.
  • Research market trends and innovative solutions related to process improvements, business process optimization and process automation. Perform peer company analysis and benchmarking; provide recommendations regarding implementation of business process and/or technology improvements.
  • Measure and provide actional insights and guidance on the impact of process improvement initiatives on business performance. Communicate through project team meetings, presentations, reports, written communication and ongoing stakeholder discussions with all levels of leadership.
  • Perform comprehensive process and business process optimization assessments, utilizing statistical analysis, process models and visualization to identify opportunities and enable data-driven improvements. Establish metrics for process controls and enable process automation.
  • Train other analysts and internal stakeholders on business process optimization, process improvement techniques, Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) 2.0 and process intelligence tools.
  • Oversee business process management development lifecycle including requirements, design, testing and deployment. Maintain process documentation and workflow architecture.
  • Partner with process owners and business leaders to align BPM initiatives and organizational goals.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
  • Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education Requirements 

Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, engineering or related field preferred with experience in process improvement methodologies; or an equivalent combination of education and additional work experience. (Typically, one and a half to two years of relevant experience is equivalent to one year of formal education.) 

In addition to education, this role typically calls for five to seven years of relevant professional experience. (Minimum of four years’ relevant experience are required).
Experience 

  • Experience researching, planning and/or reviewing processes and preparing related recommendations and documentation.
  • Experience leading others in process reviews, business analyses and/or special projects that include defining business requirements and developing strategies to improve workflow.
  • Experience with the application of math and statistical methods.
  • Experience in use and function of office equipment including enterprise database applications, computers and applicable software.
  • Experience and/or training related to:
    • Process improvement methods such as Lean Six Sigma
    • Process mapping methods
    • Developing and analyzing applicable metrics
    • Train-the-trainers’ skills
    • Microsoft Office Suite applications including Visio and Excel including complex formulas, pivot tables, queries, macros, Power BI and data visualizations
    • Interpersonal/communication skills
    • Process discovery and identification
    • Enterprise Business Process Management Techniques
    • Project management methodologies
  • Working knowledge of company organizational structure.
  • Experience researching, analyzing, compiling and/or preparing information such as progress reports, process charts, policies and procedures, budgets, training materials and correspondence.
  • Experience negotiating, interacting, advising and communicating effectively.
  • Experience reading and interpreting company policies and procedures, manuals, governmental regulations, charts and graphs, contracts and correspondence.
  • Experience leading and training.
  • Experience developing information, conducting meetings and making formal presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

Licenses and Certifications 

Applicable driver’s license required.

Required Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or completion of courses toward accreditation in Six Sigma Process Improvement and/or other process improvement methodologies as required by Company.

Additional Requirements 

  • Requires mobility to travel in and around office facilities and to various company locations in performance of job duties.
  • Able to operate office tools and equipment as required.
  • Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations and/or meetings.
  • Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
