Note to applicants: This role is located in Austin, TX.

Who You Are:

We are seeking a Sr. Consumer Insights Analyst to strengthen our in-house research and analytics capabilities. This role focuses on enriching our understanding of the consumer by designing, executing, and personally running advanced analyses on data from surveys and syndicated sources like Numerator, Mintel, and IRI, as well as other business inputs. You will lead deep-dive analyses, translate complex findings into clear narratives, and deliver actionable insights that shape brand and business strategy, a market research role, not BI or data science.

What You're Good At:

  • Consumer Research & Advanced Analytics
    • Lead quantitative projects including brand health trackers, segmentation, conjoint, MaxDiff, and pricing studies.
    • Run hands-on analysis (cross-tabs, advanced analytics, data visualization) using tools like SPSS, R/Python, Excel, and SQL (for data prep – not dashboards); design deep-dives that go beyond top-line reads.
  • Survey Design & Execution (Qual & Quant)
    • Translate business questions into fit-for-purpose designs (methodology, sample, screener, questionnaire).
    • Write and program surveys on self-service platforms (Suzy, Quantilope, etc.); ensure data quality end-to-end—from sampling/field to cleaning and QC.
    • Partner with external agencies for more complex studies as needed.
  • Insight Generation & Decision Support
    • Turn research outcomes into clear, defensible recommendations.
    • Equip Marketing, Brand, and Innovation with actionable insights that inform strategy and roadmaps.
    • Build concise, best-practice readouts in PowerPoint/Word, with visuals tailored to each audience.
  • Cross-Functional Influence
    • Speak with language of Marketing and Brand; help scope researchable questions and choose the right methods.
    • Collaborate with Category/Shopper teams (IRI, Numerator) to integrate consumer and sales signals.
  • Community Managment
    • Manage our consumer insights community panel; develop engagement plans as well as studies, and two-day dialogue to generate insights.
  • Research Operations
    • Work closely with third-party research providers and platform teams; proactively identifying opportunities to improve data quality and efficiency.
  • Capability Building
    • Elevate in-house analytic sophistication; coach teams on quantitative methods/models and how to apply them.
    • Establish consistent processes for running advanced analyses internally. (Market research first - this is not a BI/data-science role.)

What You Contribute:

  • 3–5 years in consumer insights/market research, including 3+ years agency-side managing advanced quantitative market research studies end-to-end.
  • Advanced Excel (required) and proficiency in at least one data-processing tool (SPSS, R/Python, or SQL) for hands-on analysis and data prep.
  • Data quality & rigor: sampling/quotas, weighting, statistical testing, and QC.
  • Project & stakeholder management: prioritize multiple studies, influence cross functional partners, and manage vendors/timelines.
  • Method depth: segmentation, brand tracking, pricing, conjoint/MaxDiff, and other analytics tied to brand/commercial decisions.
  • Survey design & execution: translate business questions into designs; write/program on shelf-service platforms (e.g., Suzy Quantilope).
  • Syndicated fluency: familiarity with IRI and Numerator; partner effectively with Category/Shopper teams.
  • Communication & visualization: distill complexity into clear narratives and executive-ready presentations.
  • Degree in Marketing, Market Research, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
