About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Principal Engineer to join CrowdStrike's engineering team. This role requires a seasoned professional who can architect, implement, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure solutions while maintaining the highest security standards for our cybersecurity platform serving millions of endpoints globally.

This is a hybrid role based out of our offices in Sunnyvale, CA, Redmond, WA, Austin, TX, or NYC, NY.

What You'll Do:

  • Infrastructure Architecture & Automation

  • Design and implement scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and multi-cloud environments

  • Architect single-click deployment automation for complex SaaS platforms

  • Lead migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern container orchestration (Kubernetes)

  • Develop comprehensive Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) strategies

  • DevOps & Platform Engineering

  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting rapid, secure software delivery

  • Implement GitOps methodologies and DevSecOps best practices

  • Architect observability solutions using modern monitoring and logging platforms

  • Manage container orchestration platforms (EKS, GKE) at enterprise scale

  • Mentor senior engineering staff and drive architectural decisions

  • Lead cross-functional architecture councils and technical initiatives

  • Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions

Security & Compliance:

  • Integrate security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, container scanning) into development workflows

  • Implement security-first infrastructure designs aligned with cybersecurity industry standards

  • Ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulatory requirements

  • Leadership & Collaboration

What You'll Need:

  • 10+ years of DevOps/Infrastructure engineering experience

  • Expert-level experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code

  • Proven track record architecting solutions for high-scale SaaS platforms

  • Strong background in automation, CI/CD, and observability platforms

  • Experience with security tools and DevSecOps practices

  • Patent holder or demonstrated innovation in technology solutions

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related technical field

  • Experience in cybersecurity or security-focused technology companies

  • Multi-cloud architecture experience (AWS, GCP)

  • Leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional initiatives

  • Background in storage systems, networking protocols, and distributed systems

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $195,000 - $290,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
