We are seeking an exceptional leader with a proven track record of driving business transformation, influencing C-suite executives, and building high-performing teams in complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate brings a unique combination of strategic vision, commercial acumen, executive presence, and deep experience guiding organizations through large-scale technology and AI transformation.

AI Transformation Leadership

This role requires far more than deep technology expertise. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to healthcare executives, helping customers define and execute their AI transformation strategies.Key areas of leadership include:

Shaping the role of AI within enterprise business and operating models

Defining transformation roadmaps and implementation priorities

Establishing governance, risk, and adoption frameworks

Driving organizational change and user adoption at scale

Delivering measurable business outcomes through AI investments

Candidates should demonstrate experience leading enterprise-wide digital or AI transformation initiatives that have produced meaningful business impact.


Responsibilities

Strategic Account Leadership

This leader will oversee some of Microsoft's largest and most strategically important Healthcare and Life Sciences relationships.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated success in:

Developing and executing multi-year account strategies
Building executive relationships and governance structures
Managing complex, large-scale customer portfolios
Driving growth, consumption, retention, and expansion simultaneously
Leading cross-functional and geographically distributed teams toward shared business outcomes

Success in this role requires the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a clear strategic vision while delivering consistent customer and business results.

Competitive Leadership

A critical responsibility of this role is expanding Microsoft's strategic position within the healthcare industry.

Successful candidates will possess experience:

Developing and executing competitive displacement strategies
Influencing executive decision-making at the highest levels
Driving platform and technology transformation decisions
Articulating differentiated business value and industry-specific outcomes

The ability to challenge conventional thinking, shape executive perspectives, and influence strategic direction is essential.

Complex Commercial Leadership

This role operates at the center of highly visible and strategically significant commercial engagements, including:
Enterprise-scale cloud and AI commitments
Strategic partnership and investment discussions
Complex commercial negotiations
Partner-led growth opportunities
Executive-level escalations and decision forums
Candidates should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, balancing competing priorities, and leading through high-stakes negotiations that create long-term customer and Microsoft value.
 
Talent Leadership and Organizational Development

The successful candidate will inherit an experienced and high-performing team and will be expected to further elevate organizational capability and leadership depth.

Coaching and developing senior sellers and account leaders
Strengthening executive engagement capabilities across the organization
Developing future managers and directors
Building robust succession and talent pipelines

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 7+ years experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 8+ years experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years direct/formal people management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 10+ years experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 13+ years experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience leading teams and/or managers in a Sales organization.
  • 5+ years direct/formal people management experience.

Sales Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $158,400 - $243,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,000 - $267,000 per year.
