Summary:

In this role, you will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of Vizient’s tradeshow and industry event portfolio. You will develop strategies that align event investments with brand, marketing, and commercial priorities while ensuring flawless execution and measurable business impact. You will serve as a centralized leader across enterprise, regional, and sales-funded events, driving consistency, governance, and best practices across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, manage event operations and resources, and provide leadership that enhances Vizient’s market presence, client engagement, and commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the annual tradeshow and event portfolio strategy, calendar, and prioritization framework across enterprise, regional, and sales-funded events.
  • Align event investments and participation decisions with marketing, brand, client engagement, and commercial objectives.
  • Lead the strategy and lifecycle management of tradeshow environments, booth assets, exhibit systems, and vendor partnerships to ensure consistent brand execution and operational efficiency.
  • Define event goals, target audiences, measurement plans, and success metrics in partnership with business stakeholders.
  • Oversee end-to-end execution of tradeshows and events, including logistics, exhibit management, vendor coordination, and on-site delivery.
  • Establish governance, intake processes, workflows, and execution standards that improve consistency and scalability across the event portfolio.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and business leaders to ensure event strategies support organizational priorities and client engagement objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze event performance metrics, including attendance, engagement, influence on pipeline, and return on investment, and recommend optimization opportunities.
  • Manage event budgets, contracts, and resource allocation to maximize effectiveness and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience in tradeshow management required.
  • Experience leading enterprise-level tradeshow, event marketing and experiential marketing,.
  • Demonstrated success developing event strategies that support brand awareness, client engagement, demand generation, and commercial growth.
  • Experience managing large-scale event budgets, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and exhibit assets.
  • Strong knowledge of event operations, logistics, governance models, and performance measurement methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with executive leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to align event investments with business objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate event performance, ROI, and business impact using data-driven insights.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience within healthcare, healthcare technology, or business-to-business marketing environments preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
