JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview
Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the NE Team, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure and scalable network infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and services.
Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and support enterprise network infrastructure across public cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues.
  • Implement network automation and orchestration using tools like Ansible, Python, or Terraform.
  • Collaborate with InfoSec and DevOps teams to ensure secure and compliant network operations.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for network-related issues.
  • Document network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional technical initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure operations.
  • Deep expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and subnetting.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet devices.
  • Proficiency in cloud networking (AWS and Azure), including VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, and VPNs, VNets, and Express Routes.
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN, network segmentation, and zero-trust architectures.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Datadog, Prometheus) and logging frameworks (e.g., ELK).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2).

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $87,500 to $131,100 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
