About the Role
Shape how UKG plans for the workforce it needs to deliver its strategy. As our Sr. Principal Workforce Planning Consultant, you will build and lead our enterprise workforce planning capability - owning the planning cycle, creating advanced models and insights, and advising senior leaders on some of the company’s most consequential workforce decisions. This is a high-impact opportunity for a hands-on technical leader who thrives in ambiguity, brings strong business and consulting judgment, and can turn complex data into clear direction across headcount, hiring capacity, location strategy, and talent supply.
Key Responsibilities
 Lead UKG’s monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-range workforce planning cycle in partnership with Finance, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, People Analytics, and business leaders.
 Build a scalable enterprise workforce planning process and advance our models, tools, data, governance, and planning standards.
 Design, code, validate, and maintain workforce demand, supply, capacity, cost, skills, attrition, hiring, and internal-movement models and scenarios.
 Connect workforce, financial, recruiting, skills, and external labor-market data to reveal risks, opportunities, and trade-offs.
 Turn business strategy into bold, evidence-based recommendations on headcount, workforce investments, hiring capacity, restructuring, location strategy, and talent deployment.
 Advise senior leaders, navigate uncertainty, and translate complex analysis into clear decisions and action.
 Lead location and labor-market analyses and partner with Talent Acquisition on recruiting capacity, sourcing, and build-buy-borrow strategies.
 Track plans against results, assess model performance, and help leaders adapt as business conditions change.
 Reimagine and automate planning, modeling, workflows, and reporting through Power Automate, AI, and other technologies.
 Build workforce planning capability across HR and the business through practical tools, guidance, training, and targeted organizational design support.

Basic Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive experience in workforce planning, People Analytics, finance, business planning, data science, or a related field.
• A track record of building or transforming an enterprise workforce planning capability in a large, complex, or matrixed organization.
• Ability to work independently with limited direction and navigate ambiguity
• Deep expertise in workforce planning, forecasting, scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and model validation.
• Advanced, hands-on ability to code and build analytical models.
• Advanced proficiency with Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, Anaplan, SQL, Python, R, UKG Pro, IBM Planning Analytics, or comparable platforms.
• Experience integrating complex workforce, financial, recruiting, and labor-market data with strong data quality, documentation, and control practices.
• Exceptional business and financial acumen, consulting skills, and executive communication, with the presence to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative or business discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced degree in a relevant quantitative field.
• Experience owning enterprise workforce planning and shaping headcount, location, or capacity decisions.
