At Instructure, we believe in the power of people to grow and succeed throughout their lives. Our goal is to amplify that power by creating intuitive products that simplify learning and personal development, facilitate meaningful relationships, and inspire people to go further in their education and careers.
We do this by giving smart, creative, passionate people opportunities to create awesome. And that's where you come in:

This is a role for someone who thrives on collaboration, sweats the details of success measures, and obsesses over customers and users. If you're driven to deliver outcomes rather than outputs, and if you're excited by both execution and invention, we'd love to hear from you.

About the team and what you'll own.
You'll own product direction for Fulfillment & Generation — the systems that produce and deliver the credentials people carry with them for life: transcripts, diplomas, and high school equivalencies. These systems sit at the center of the Parchment by Instructure ecosystem and touch nearly every other product area, so success here depends on how well you collaborate across teams. In this role, you'll work alongside engineering leads and partner with other Parchment PMs and key stakeholders to bring improvements to market.
Expect occasional travel for team on-sites and customer events.

What you'll be doing.
● Outcome Ownership: Take outcome-level ownership of the fulfillment and generation roadmap for transcripts, diplomas, and high school equivalencies, contributing to the broader strategy of the product line.
● Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner closely with other Parchment product teams, dependent product areas, and go-to-market teams to align priorities and ship
coordinated improvements. This work touches a lot of surface area — you'll need to build trust and shortest-path alignment across teams that don't report to you.
● Leverage AI: Use AI to build sharper business cases, draft product requirement documents, and stand up prototypes faster. We push our PMs to go further with AI than just using it lightly — it should show up in how you validate ideas and move from concept to spec.
● Insight & Data-Driven Discovery: Anchor decisions in evidence and insights to inform the story you tell and drive decision-making. Partner effectively with Analytics to understand how data insights might impact your product strategy.
● Measurement & Testing: Proactively identify metrics to track and measure the customer and business benefits for your releases. Independently seek data insights to build testable hypotheses.
● Customer Research: Independently conduct customer research and run discovery experiments to better understand user needs.
● Execution & Delivery: Collaborate relentlessly with design, engineering, and go-to-market teams to ship new value quickly. Develop deep product domain knowledge while maintaining a broad general knowledge of the organization.

What success looks like in your first year.
● The fulfillment and generation systems have measurably improved on the success metrics you and your engineering partners commit to (we'll define these together).
● You've established a working rhythm with cross-functional teams that lets you ship at pace.
● You've shipped meaningful improvements to transcript, diploma, or high school equivalency fulfillment that reduce friction, increase reliability, or scale the business.
● You're using AI as a core part of how you build business cases, write specs, and prototype ideas — and it shows in how fast you move from idea to shipped work.
What you'll need.
● Five or more years of relevant product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS.
● Strong cross-team collaboration skills, with a track record of aligning multiple teams around a shared outcome.
● Comfort using AI in your day-to-day workflow to build business cases, draft PRDs, and create prototypes.
● Ability to independently conduct customer research, formulate testable hypotheses, and execute discovery.
● Comfort with product analytics tools like Pendo, Amplitude, or similar.
● Clear communication at all altitudes. You are a trusted partner to stakeholders who proactively recommend product priorities and solutions to meet user and business goals.
● Demonstrated ownership of product outcomes, not just outputs.
● A bias toward action and comfort with ambiguity.
Nice to have.
● Experience in edtech, credentialing, or an adjacent regulated space such as higher education, employment verification, or identity.
● Experience with document generation, print/mail fulfillment, or other high-volume transactional systems.
● Familiarity with credentialing standards such as Open Badges, W3C Verifiable Credentials, or CLR.
