We are seeking a passionate, platform minded Sr. Product Manager to join SailPoint’s growing product team. In this role you will own and curate SailPoint’s core objects model which includes entitlements, applications, roles, access profiles, segments, privilege classification and more. These objects are foundational to the SailPoint Atlas Platform, are leveraged across the entire SailPoint SaaS portfolio and are critical for supporting customers as they seek to govern and ultimately secure identities and access in their organizations.

You will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy for SailPoint’s Core Objects. This will require extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, program management, marketing and other product managers) to drive interoperability across the SailPoint SaaS Portfolio and support the development of next generation identity security products.

You will be at the center of our company’s future, and your leadership will directly contribute to the success of our platform and company-wide product strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a strong technical background, is highly collaborative, thrives in an agile environment, loves tackling complex problems and wants to make a lasting impact.

This position requires a strong product management background with experience in agile product development, go-to-market launches, cross-team collaboration, executive and stakeholder management and regular customer interaction. Candidates must be comfortable navigating complex and ambiguous challenges, and working in a fluid, fast-paced environment. Candidates must also be highly collaborative and possess excellent communication skills. Additionally, a solid technical background is a must to be successful in this role. Ideal candidates will have worked on platforms in the past where they owned shared services, objects or experiences that were a critical part of empowering both business velocity and driving customer value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the strategy and roadmap for SailPoint’s Core Objects (entitlements, applications, roles, access profiles, segments, privilege classification, etc…) within the SailPoint Atlas Platform, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives and customer needs

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, marketing, sales and services to define requirements, prioritize features and delver platform enhancements

  • Work closely with other product teams across the business to improve cohesion of our products

  • Deeply understand our customers, partners and 3rd party developers and their needs to identity opportunities for platform improvements

  • Continuously gather data driven insights and lead discovery and validation sessions with customers and other critical stakeholders

  • Manage the product backlog, define clear user stories and requirements, and ensure the team is delivering high-impact features on schedule

  • Define, measure, reflect on and leverage product adoption metrics and other KPIs to continuously inform your product strategy and roadmap

  • Drive adoption by supporting go-to-market teams (sales, marketing, etc…) with documentation, presentations, training and subject matter expertise

  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint plannings, retrospectives and stand ups while ensuring adherence to best practices

  • Collaborate with engineering to balance short-term deliverables with long-term priorities

  • Continuously stay up to date on industry trends in the identity governance and security market, ensuring our platform drives innovation and competitive differentiation

  • Provide product support for sales opportunities, including on-site customer visits when needed

  • Act as product spokesperson for SailPoint at trade shows, industry events, and conferences

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in a product management or adjacent role

  • Strong understanding of agile development practices and experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated success working with engineering and design teams to plan, develop, refine, and launch successful enterprise SaaS products and capabilities

  • Technical aptitude to engage with engineers and understand platform architecture and services

  • Experience gathering quantitative and qualitative customer insights and translating them into high impact capabilities

  • Proven ability to manage product roadmaps, prioritize backlogs and ship products on time

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

  • Experience collaborating with product marketing to deliver content and drive thought-leadership

  • Experience delivering support to field and channel sales organizations

  • Obsessive desire to deliver customer and business impact

  • Experience working on and delivering platform shared services, objects or experiences that drive business velocity and customer value

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience building, maintaining or supporting external facing platforms and understanding the complexities of customer and developer enablement is a major plus

  • Experience working on identity and enterprise security products a major plus

Education:

BA/BS in business or technical field is required. MBA is a plus.

Travel:

This position requires approximately 10% travel.

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$126,600 - $180,900 - $235,200

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
