DIRECTV is seeking a Sr Product Manager with strong customer retention marketing experience to use a combination of marketing, strategic creative direction, agency collaboration, and leadership skills to drive a diverse set of current customer creative supporting DIRECTV growth products. In this role, you will leverage your knowledge and understanding of customer retention strategies to develop and implement innovative creative campaigns that increase customer loyalty, reduce churn, and drive revenue for the business.

You will work with external agency partners spanning creative strategy, development, and execution of on-platform and on-air tactics to ensure end-to-end creative cohesion for DIRECTV current customer campaigns supporting growth products. This role involves collaborating with internal business partners to create campaigns that support specified business goals while ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.

This individual contributor role requires a strategic thinker who can independently develop, execute, and optimize creative campaigns that drive business results while reducing the workload of leadership supervision who can work on multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.

Candidate must have a background in customer retention marketing with agency experience executing creative campaigns from concept to final delivery along with excellent client communication and project management skills.

Here's what you'll do: 

  • Collaborate and work with internal marketing partners to build a creative strategy on specified campaigns to ensure the creative will meet business objectives and KPIs for various initiatives on specified projects for growth products.
  • Foster strong relationships working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external agencies serving as the main POC on specified projects by setting realistic creative expectations. Additionally, being an advocate for and defending internal creative decisions to drive business success and optimization in effort to hit KPIs.
  • Manage creative agency relationships and development for current customer campaigns from brief analysis through implementation including creative work presentations to leadership with key understanding of campaign objectives.
  • Responsible for managing individual project budgets already established by SOWs to ensure the projects are delivered on time and on budget; have the ability to identify cost efficiencies, when applicable.
  • Manage end-to-end Current Customer creative campaigns:
    • Analyze briefs and determine creative tactic requirements to kickoff agency
    • Create, manage, and approve project schedules ensuring necessary timing requirements
    • Review/approve creative designs and messaging
    • Lead creative presentations to senior leadership with key understanding of campaign objectives
    • Consolidate and communicate feedback to agencies
    • Ensure quality control throughout project lifecycle serving as the final QC point person
    • Oversee final delivery within budget and specifications
  • Maintain project documentation:
    • Archive campaigns and track historical data
    • Monitor rights expirations and renewals
    • Document and communicate post-campaign learnings
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills:
    • Use data to inform marketing decisions
    • Ensure agency adherence to briefs and expectations
  • Articulate well-reasoned creative options during reviews
  • Must have the ability to resolve campaign issues independently in a timely, productive manner, and identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to work independently and manage several projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Here's what you'll need: 

  • 3 – 5 years working in the advertising, telecom, and/or entertainment field.
  • Proven experience in marketing roles, with a focus on customer retention and engagement strategies.
  • Advertising agency, production and/or film, and TV experience required.
  • Strong analytic, strategic, and fact-based decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of creative processes and strategies.
  • Familiar with all types of file formats.
  • Highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint; baseline knowledge of MS Office suite with working knowledge of Smart Sheets.
  • The drive to always learn and experiment with new processes, teams, and tools.
  • Excellent project management skills with a focus on details and good documentation.
  • Problem solver who can resolve project challenges or logistics independently.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and oral presentation skills.
  • Team player mentality that will roll up their sleeves in assisting other team members on projects that require extra assistance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment with ability to track multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $100,947 - $183,299

Low (N1): $100,947 - $151,421

Mid (N2): $106,260 - $159,390

High (N3): $116,886 - $175,329

Top (N4): $122,199 - $183,299
