The Senior Revenue Assurance Analyst is responsible for protecting revenue integrity through financial analysis, customer account reviews, revenue validation, dispute investigation, and revenue risk identification. The role ensures accurate customer financial outcomes through detailed research, analysis, and resolution of customer account concerns and financial discrepancies. This role is designed as a hybrid position with approximately 80% of responsibilities dedicated to Revenue Assurance and 20% focused on Billing Operations support. The position partners closely with, Finance, Billing Operations, Customer Success, Sales, and Legal/Contract Administration helping ensure customer financial obligations are accurately assessed, account concerns are appropriately resolved, and company revenue is protected.

Responsibilities

Revenue Assurance

  • Perform Customer Financial Resolution activities, including:
    • Evaluation of customer claims, disputes, and account concerns
    • Validation of contractual terms, pricing, and financial obligations
    • Investigation of disputed charges and account discrepancies
    • Determination of customer financial responsibility and amounts due
    • Assessment and recommendation of customer adjustments when warranted
  • Analyze customer account activity to identify:
    • Revenue leakage opportunities
    • Financial risk exposures
    • Process gaps and process deficiencies.
  • Perform detailed account research and investigations to support customer issue resolution.
  • Prepare recommendations and supporting documentation for management review and approval.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and identify opportunities for process improvements to improve revenue integrity and reduce recurring issues.
  • Develop and maintain reporting and analytics related to:
    • Customer disputes
    • Account adjustments
    • Revenue recovery opportunities
    • Revenue risk trends
    • Operational performance metrics
  • Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to support revenue validation and control activities.

Billing Operations Support

  • Partner with Billing Operations teams to support customer account investigations and escalations.
  • Analyze billing discrepancies and complex customer account issues.
  • Support operational reporting, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource for cross-functional initiatives impacting billing operations and customer financial outcomes.
  • Maintain working knowledge of billing, provisioning, and order-to-cash processes to support operational continuity and business needs.
  • Assist with implementation and enhancement of billing controls, policies, and procedures. 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Experience researching complex customer account activity and financial discrepancies.
  • Ability to interpret contracts, pricing schedules, amendments, and customer agreements.
  • Experience evaluating financial impact and supporting business decision-making.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and service-level expectations.

Preferred Experience 

  • 3-7 years of experience in Revenue Assurance, Revenue Operations, Customer Financial Operations, Financial Analysis, Contract Administration, Audit, Billing Operations, Business Analysis, or related fields.
  • Experience in data center, colocation, managed services, cloud services, SaaS, technology services, or other recurring revenue businesses.
  • Experience in Revenue Assurance, dispute management, account reconciliation, revenue recovery, or financial adjustment processes.
  • Familiarity with billing operations and order-to-cash workflows.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Billing Platform, or similar reporting and operational systems.
  • Experience supporting audit, compliance, risk management, governance, or control-focused functions.
  • Knowledge of customer account lifecycle management and revenue management principles.

It’s important to note the pay range may be narrower than displayed, as various factors are used to determine the offered compensation package including skill set, level of experience, geographic locations, and other relevant factors- i.e. budgetary requirements.Pay Range $60,000.00 - $97,778.29
