Job Summary:

The Sr. Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for inventory management of their fulfillment center(s). This role provides support to the Fulfillment Center Operations Team and the Supply Planning Team through inventory control management and service management on supply-related constraints within the assigned fulfillment center(s).

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs analysis utilizing a wide range of inventory-related reports to ensure consistent supply for distributors.

  • Incorporates inventory planning for highly seasonal and promoted products and ensures that fulfillment center and distributor inventory settings are updated accordingly.

  • Monitors fulfillment center and Distributor partner health Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and supports data collection and analysis to identify areas of improvement.

  • Assists in delivery of improvement projects from planning to execution.

  • Collaborates with teams to map processes and identify waste and/or efficiencies.

  • Creates and submits purchase orders to fulfillment centers for replenishment of assigned Distributors.

  • Works closely with the Inbound Inventory Replenishment Team to ensure inventory needs are met and any known constraints are communicated to Distributors supported by the fulfillment center.

  • Acts as main point of contact between Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations departments, and Distributor partners.

  • Analyzes supply and demand imbalances and facilitates resolution throughout the supply chain.

  • Works with fulfillment center operations teams to reconcile inventory discrepancies.

  • Assists in quantifying and defining scope for capacity, resource, logistics, and supply chain planning.

  • Acts as super user for planning tools.

  • Promotes culture of continuous improvement across the organization and Distributor network.

  • Implements process change and standard work at our Interstate Batteries (IB) distributors in support of optimizing the fulfillment center network.

  • Effectively develops, builds, and maintains positive relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external customers (distributors, dealers, and internal corporate support groups).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Technical or equivalent discipline preferred.

  • Minimum of 4+ years working experience; including a role of similar responsibility/scale in Supply Chain, Operations, Strategy or related field.

  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex supply chain problems with an appropriate sense of urgency.

  • Experience in end-to-end supply chain management involving distribution, inventory management, and project management.

  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to analyze supply chain management problems to develop and implement practical solutions.

  • Passion to drive continuous improvement through identification of root-cause solutions to key business problems.

  • APICS Supply Chain Certification and/or Green Belt Certification preferred.

  • Familiarity with the tools, methodologies, and disciplines of a Lean Six Sigma environment.

  • Knowledge of how forecasting drives Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Finite Scheduling and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP).

  • Prior experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, customer-focused supply chain.

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of detail-orientation, analytical rigor, and presentation skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under minimal supervision.

  • Entrepreneurial Orientation – Looks for and seizes profitable business opportunities; willingness to take calculated risks and actively engage with distributors to achieve business goals.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional partners, fulfillment center teams, and distribution center teams.

Work Environment:
  • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.

  • Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • May be exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.

  • Prolonged use of personal computer & telephone.
