The Role

Screen Innovations is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive cross-functional execution across our hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams. This is a hands-on role for someone who can bring structure to fast-moving, engineering-driven product development without slowing it down — someone equally comfortable in a factory walkthrough and a sprint planning meeting.

You'll partner closely with Engineering, Product, Manufacturing/Operations, and executive leadership to plan, de-risk, and ship new products — from motorized shade systems and screen materials to the connected-home electronics (like Janus) that control them.

Qualifications

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end program planning and execution for major product initiatives, spanning mechanical/industrial design, electrical/firmware engineering, embedded software, and manufacturing readiness
  • Build and maintain program roadmaps, schedules, and dependency maps across hardware and software workstreams, and keep leadership informed with clear, honest status reporting
  • Identify risks early — supply chain, tooling, design, integration — and drive mitigation plans before they become fire drills
  • Facilitate cross-functional rituals (planning, standups, design reviews, gate reviews) that keep engineering, product, and operations aligned without adding unnecessary process overhead
  • Coordinate new product introduction (NPI) from concept through pilot production and full manufacturing ramp on the factory floor
  • Work directly with suppliers and internal manufacturing/operations teams to align component availability, tooling, and production timelines with program milestones
  • Manage scope and trade-off decisions in partnership with product management and engineering leads, keeping programs on schedule and within budget
  • Champion continuous improvement of program management practices, tooling, and documentation as SI's product portfolio grows

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in technical program or project management, with a track record of shipping physical/hardware products that include embedded electronics or connected-home/IoT components
  • Demonstrated ability to manage programs that span mechanical engineering, electrical/firmware engineering, and manufacturing — not just software
  • Strong working knowledge of NPI processes, from prototype through pilot to volume production
  • Comfortable reading and reasoning about schedules, BOMs, and technical trade-offs well enough to challenge engineers and hold teams accountable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical complexity into clear updates for both engineers and executives
  • Experience working directly with manufacturing operations and/or suppliers, ideally in a facility that designs and builds its own hardware
  • A bias toward action and pragmatic problem-solving — comfortable in a company where things move quickly and priorities can shift
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with smart home, AV, or building automation products
  • Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar program management certification
  • Experience with PLM/PDM tools and program management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet)
