From skip locate and license plate recognition services to transport and recovery operations, we combine expertise with innovation to deliver smarter, faster, and more compliant outcomes for our clients.
With operations in Mississippi, Michigan, and now Dallas, Texas, we are scaling rapidly under private equity sponsorship. We’re seeking a detail-oriented and inquisitive Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team in our Dallas office (this is an onsite role).


The Role

As Staff Accountant, you will report to the Controller and be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, supporting month-end and year-end close processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into the details while also understanding the bigger financial picture.


What You’ll Do

- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and accruals.

- Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.

- Prepare financial reports and schedules as needed.

- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

- Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.

- Identify and help implement process improvements within accounting operations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business needs.

- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.


What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).

- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience (public or private).

- Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.

- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial close.

- High attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Experience with month-end close in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).

- Experience in accounting software and ERP systems (Netsuite) (preferred).

- CPA or CPA-eligible (preferred).

- Onsite presence in Dallas, TX (DFW area) required.
