The Staff Accountant supports the financial close and helps ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and aligned with US GAAP. This broad-based role contributes to general ledger and operational accounting, reporting, controls, systems, and special projects. Working with Accounting, Finance, and cross-functional partners, you’ll help resolve accounting issues, improve recurring processes, support Microsoft D365 enhancements, and build experience across a growing organization.
In This Role
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for assigned areas
- Review assigned balance sheet accounts for accuracy, investigate reconciling items, and maintain appropriate documentation in BlackLine
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports, compare results to supporting detail, and assist with investigating unusual activity, trends, or follow-up items
- Work with Accounting, Finance, and operational teams to understand transactions, research discrepancies, and provide accounting support for new business activities
- Assist with Microsoft D365 and related system enhancements through testing, data validation, issue resolution, and process documentation
- Help maintain accounting procedures and internal controls and recommend practical improvements to recurring workflows
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
- Assist with accounting research and supporting analyses for assigned or non-routine transactions under the guidance of senior team members.

The Ideal Person
- 2+ years of general ledger, corporate accounting, or public accounting experience; experience in a multi-entity or high-growth environment is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA license or path to CPA preferred
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and foundational experience with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls
- Experience working with ERP and financial systems; experience supporting system enhancements or implementations is preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data reconciliation techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement
