Job Responsibilities
As a STPG Staff Product Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., key responsibilities include:
  • Lead product bring-up and drive sustained high-volume manufacturing for NAND and SSD products.
  • Own and drive end-to-end yield improvement, failure analysis, and data-driven optimization initiatives.
  • Perform advanced electrical and physical failure analysis, and lead cross-functional root cause resolution for complex component and system-level issues.
  • Lead troubleshooting of customer returns; provide robust, scalable corrective actions and preventive solutions.
  • Collaborate with global Product Engineering teams to define and optimize test flows, validation strategies, and customer qualification plans.
  • Lead cross-functional task forces to resolve qualification gating issues and ensure on-time product ramp.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in SSD/NAND/Product Engineering or related field.
  • Strong experience in NAND or SSD industry will be an advantage
  • Solid background in computer hardware and storage interfaces such as PCIe, SATA, SAS.
  • Deep understanding of NAND/SSD device operation, interfaces, and product development lifecycle.
  • Proven expertise in failure analysis, yield improvement, and data analytics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams globally.
  • Self-motivated with strong ownership, leadership qualities, and ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
