Location: This is a hybrid role based out of our Austin, TX office and requires in-office presence three days a week.

Position Summary:

TrendAI is seeking a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to build modern, user-centric SaaS applications across multiple product initiatives. 
 
This role emphasizes product experience, UI/UX excellence, and scalable SaaS architecture. You will work closely with product managers and designers to deliver intuitive, high-performance web applications backed by secure, cloud-native microservices deployed on Kubernetes, AWS and Microsoft Azure. 
 
We are looking for an engineer who not only builds systems but also delivers exceptional products. Experience leveraging AI development tools and integrating AI capabilities into applications is highly valued. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement intuitive, responsive web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React / TypeScript preferred). 

  • Collaborate closely with UX designers and product managers to translate product vision into elegant user experiences. 

  • Develop backend microservices supporting multi-tenant SaaS platforms. 

  • Ensure seamless integration between frontend UI and backend APIs. 

  • Optimize application performance, usability, and accessibility. 

  • Design and implement scalable, multi-tenant SaaS architectures. 

  • Deploy, operate, and optimize applications in production Kubernetes environments. 

  • Build and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.). 

  • Apply DevOps best practices including CI/CD, monitoring, and observability. 

Product Delivery & Ownership:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of features using Agile and DevOps practices ensuring predictable execution and high-quality outcomes.  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, scalable technical designs and deliverable milestones. 

  • Identify and mitigate technical risks early through proactive planning, monitoring and continuous improvement. 

AI-Enabled Development & Innovation:

  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted engineering tools) to improve engineering productivity. 

  • Drive measurable improvements in development velocity and product innovation using AI technologies. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong experience building modern web applications (React / TypeScript or equivalent). 

  • Experience designing and developing backend microservices in cloud-native environments. 

  • Experience deploying services on Kubernetes. 

  • Experience working with AWS, Microsoft Azure cloud services. 

  • Experience building or contributing to SaaS products. 

  • Strong understanding of frontend performance, UX best practices, and API integration. 

  • Experience using AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted engineering tools)
