About the Role:

Over the last 5 years, Motive has become a category defining product for physical operations in the United States. As we look at the next 5 years and beyond, expanding to New Markets is our most important company-level objective to guarantee long-term revenue growth and company success. We’re looking for an experienced Staff Product Manager to chart our path for New Market expansion across the entire company, including product, engineering, and GTM.

As the Staff Product Manager for New Market Expansion, you’ll define and execute our market entry strategy for the next frontier of Motive’s global growth markets. This role requires strong commercial depth - you’re building new businesses, not just new features - you’ll work closely with customers and GTM teams to understand global market-specific needs, define a strategic roadmap for market entry & early growth, and deliver the new products and features that drive the company’s ability to scale commercially in these new markets.

We’re looking for a PM with both strong commercial sense, as well as strong full stack technical depth. In this role, you’ll partner both with your own engineering team, as well across every engineering team at the company to deliver a comprehensive roadmap for new market entry and growth. You must have the ability not only to build and drive your own roadmap, but also influence technical leadership across the entire stack - from AI vision, to hardware, to embedded and core software platforms.

What You’ll Do:
  • Define Motive’s next horizon markets, and drive the 0-to-1 launches in these markets. Own the entire product lifecycle, defining the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Lead the GTM strategy in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success, developing positioning, pricing, and enablement materials necessary for rapid market adoption.
  • Be responsible for defining and delivering a roadmap that drives revenue growth in new markets. Build new products that are tailored to the unique customer needs that you discover across new markets.
  • Lead technically across the org. Understand and influence across every RnD team at the company to drive alignment on priorities that further Motive’s ability to be successful commercially and technically in new expansion markets.
  • Re-architect our platform to scale more efficiently and effectively in the long-term, thereby accelerating our ability to address new markets faster and with less resourcing over time.
What We’re Looking For:
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management
  • Proven experience in delivering commercially successful products, partnering with GTM teams and working directly with customers
  • Extremely strong Ownership. Previous experience leading in a startup, new team, or 0-to-1 environment.
  • Enough technical depth to understand our full stack and gain the respect of every engineering VP at the company
  • High customer empathy, with a desire to get in the shoes of our customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to influence up, laterally, and across diverse personalities successfully.
