Job Description

We are seeking a Staff Strategic Planning Specialist 

This Staff Strategic Planning Specialist serves as a key strategic thought 
partner within the Renesas Power Product Group. As we scale the Power business, driven 
by tremendous growth in AI and datacenter infrastructure, intelligent edge devices, and 
software defined vehicles, the Strategy team provides decision support for the Power 
Product Group executive team. This role sits at the intersection of long-range planning, 
commercial strategy, M&A and technology evaluation, and executive communication. 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Analysis and Reporting: Conduct thorough analyses of market trends, competitive landscape, and internal performance metrics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Project Management: Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring strategic projects to ensure timely completion and alignment with business goals.
  • Decision Support: Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure effective communication of strategic priorities across the Power Product Group.
  • Operational Support: Aid in the development and implementation of processes and initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic objectives.
  • Documentation and Presentations: Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Critical Thinking & Business Sense: Ability to break down complex business problems, synthesize insights from data, and develop actionable recommendations aligned with Renesas’ growth priorities.
  • Strong Communication & Executive Presence:  Comfort presenting to senior  partners, writing crisp summaries, and facilitating cross-functional alignment  across multiple functional teams
  • Analytical & Quantitative Skills: Proficiency in Excel and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); familiarity with SQL and financial modeling is a plus.
  • Project Management & Ownership: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams, drive progress independently, and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity and Fast Iteration: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities shift and solutions evolve quickly.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field

Experience

  • 8 years of related experience within semiconductor industry, with experience at management consulting firms is a plus
