About the Role

As a State Sales Director you will be directly responsible for cultivating relationships with key State and Local Government Agencies and closing large strategic deals within an assigned territory to meet or exceed your sales targets. Your ability to build deep and meaningful relationships within a state or local agency plays a critical role to meet your sales goals related to expanding access to ClassWallet's solution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes a strategic territory sales plan to engage leaders at the state and local agencies. Leverages internal ClassWallet subject matter experts, government relations, solution engineering, executives and other resources to close business.
  • Manages/creates/expands new state and local sales opportunities in assigned territory by building pipeline and winning strategic deals in new and existing accounts.
  • Creates and closes opportunities to achieve assigned quota.
  • Manages/creates strong relationships with State and Local Agency organizations at all levels.
  • Educates and influences state and local agencies on upcoming RFPs.
  • Works as sales lead on executive summaries and win themes for all RFPs.
  • Represents ClassWallet at State/National events.
  • Partner with system integrators, technology companies and other organizations to create and close opportunities.
  • Negotiate state level contracts and close agreements.
  • Informs strategic partnerships and strategic opportunities.
  • Accurately forecast sales pipeline in our CRM (HubSpot).

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience successfully selling to and closing enterprise opportunities with State and Local Agencies.
  • Experience creating partnerships and alliances with System Integrators, technology companies and other organizations to win programs in the SLED space.
  • Knowledge of and proven experience moving deals through State and Local government procurement processes and contracts.
  • Knowledge of funding sources and processes and ability to cultivate those sources.
  • Ability to travel 50%.
