$115,000 - $145,000 per year

Position Summary
The Strategic Account Director is responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans that address client challenges and support key business objectives. This role establishes long-term goals for assigned accounts, builds and maintains executive-level customer relationships, identifies growth opportunities, facilitates strategic discussions, and represents the company through industry events, seminars, and roundtables.
The Strategic Account Director collaborates with subject matter experts and vendor partners to design and deliver effective solutions that meet customer needs. This position is accountable for driving profitable revenue growth, expanding service offerings, and ensuring the retention and long-term success of assigned accounts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Thought Leadership and Differentiation
- Serve as an industry subject matter expert by facilitating strategic planning discussions with customers and participating in industry events, forums, and seminars.
- Share and apply industry best practices with prospective customers and fellow Account Directors.
- Lead and facilitate quality quarterly business reviews and annual strategic planning sessions in collaboration with appropriate subject matter experts.
Research and Networking
- Research customer environments and prepare effective questions to uncover key business challenges and opportunities.
- Connect customer-specific requirements to broader industry trends and analyze customer financial information to identify priorities and objectives.
- Engage appropriate stakeholders to support customer initiatives and achieve desired outcomes.
- Partner with the Digital Solutions Center to communicate identified portfolio gaps and develop solutions that support client success.
Account Relationship Management and Growth
- Identify key business leaders and stakeholders within customer organizations and understand how departmental objectives align with overall business goals.
- Develop and deliver relevant, value-driven content and account updates to executive leaders and department heads.
- Build and maintain strong relationships at all organizational levels to promote account growth and customer retention.
Portfolio Expertise
- Confidently articulate solution capabilities and demonstrate successful customer implementations.
- Share customer success stories and best practices internally and externally through account summaries, case studies, and press releases.
- Secure and maintain customer references.
- Obtain and maintain relevant industry certifications.
Revenue Growth and Business Planning
- Own and achieve annual revenue and profit targets while driving sustainable long-term account growth.
- Develop comprehensive business plans for assigned accounts, including both one-year and three-to-five-year strategic growth roadmaps.
Qualifications Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant industry certifications preferred.
- Five or more years of industry-specific experience; leadership experience preferred.
- Five or more years of successful sales experience required.
- Experience working with executive-level leaders within Fortune 1000 organizations.
- Demonstrated experience growing service-based business offerings.

- Solid understanding of technology and its application within the industry.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands
- Work is typically performed in an office environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and normal temperature and noise levels.
- Responsibilities require interpreting, analyzing, and applying complex information, data, and instructions to support decision-making and communication.
- Position is primarily sedentary but may require occasional walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting or carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds, such as documents, files, books, and office supplies.
- Requires regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, calculators, and other tools requiring basic hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Approximately 30% travel required, including occasional overnight travel.
