Strategic Finance Lead

Reports to: CFO
Location: Austin, TX — primarily in person

inKind is a fast-growing fintech and hospitality company providing non-dilutive growth capital to restaurants while connecting millions of diners with thousands of restaurant partners.

We’ve doubled revenue each of the last five years, generated roughly $200M last year, and are tracking toward $400M this year. Today, inKind has 5.5M+ users, 10,000+ restaurant partners, approximately $30B in restaurant GMV across the network, and more than $1B in embedded food-and-beverage credit.

We’re looking for a Strategic Finance Lead to work closely with our CFO on high-impact problems across finance, data, capital markets, strategy, and operations.

This is not a traditional FP&A role. We’re looking for someone with a strong financial foundation who is exceptionally curious, analytical, technical, and comfortable figuring things out from first principles.

The right person is someone who can enter an unfamiliar problem, work through messy data and imperfect systems, find the source of truth, and ultimately become the person others trust to explain what is happening and why.

• Build and improve financial forecasts, investment models, and debt facility models
• Analyze business performance, cash flow, revenue, operating expenses, and investment returns
• Conduct complex ad-hoc analysis across financial, operational, and transaction-level data
• Work with large and imperfect datasets to reconcile discrepancies and identify insights
• Support debt and equity financing, lender reporting, investor analysis, and strategic projects
• Automate financial and operational workflows using AI, SQL, Python, or other tools
• Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities across the business
• Translate complex findings into clear recommendations for executives and external stakeholders

• 3–8 years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, strategic finance, investment research, data analytics, or another highly analytical field
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets capabilities
• Strong understanding of finance, cash flow, and basic accounting
• Exceptional curiosity, ownership, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently through ambiguous problems
• Strong communication skills

Preferred: SQL, Python, Snowflake, AI/automation tools, capital markets, debt structures, or startup experience.

You’ll get unusually high ownership and exposure to problems across finance, data, AI, capital markets, and strategy. Scope is earned through results, not title or tenure.
