Director of Strategic Partnerships

Location: Remote / Hybrid

Type: Full-time

About HINT

Your home is the most expensive, most complex thing you've ever owned, and nobody is helping you manage it. No one is keeping everything organized. No one is turning it into a plan. No one to call when something doesn't look right. HINT changes that.

HINT is your home organizer. It maps out your home, figures out what needs attention, and helps you get it done. Share your inspection report, insurance policy, mortgage docs, and bills, and HINT organizes all of it, stays on top of what needs attention, and helps you make smart decisions about your home, not generic ones.

Homeownership is overwhelming. HINT gets it under control.

About the Role

We're looking for a Director of Strategic Partnerships to drive top-of-funnel distribution into the HINT app through strategic partners that have relevant homeowner audiences.

This role is different from traditional B2B sales. You'll be selling a consumer app into B2B organizations - a B2B2C motion that requires fluency in both partner economics and end-user engagement. Success depends as much on how partner users activate and retain inside HINT as on how the deal gets signed.

You'll own the full partnership lifecycle end-to-end, from identifying and prioritizing target accounts to outreach, product demos, pilot structuring, negotiation, deal execution, onboarding, and post-launch optimization. You'll turn strong conversations into structured partnerships that drive measurable growth and then feed learnings from live partner volume back into product and marketing to continuously improve engagement and retention.

This is an ideal role for someone 7–15 years into their career who wants high ownership, real revenue, and growth impact, and the opportunity to help define distribution strategy at an early-stage company.

What You'll DoStrategy & Targeting
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact distribution partners aligned with HINT's ICP across multiple industry verticals, with particular focus on mortgage, insurance, proptech, real estate, HOAs, property management companies (PMCs), and home services (including inspection, appraisal, HVAC, and plumbing networks)

  • Complement HINT's existing coverage in energy, affiliates, and publishers by building a pipeline in under-penetrated verticals

  • Develop and continuously refine target account lists and partnership theses

  • Shape outreach strategy and positioning tailored to each partner vertical

  • Maintain and evolve a structured, high-quality pipeline in HubSpot with accurate lead, stage, and forecast data

Outbound & Relationship Development
  • Own outbound outreach across email, phone, events, and warm introductions

  • Run discovery conversations to understand partner goals, economics, and end-customer dynamics deeply

  • Deliver compelling product demos tailored to each partner's value proposition — framing HINT as a consumer engagement layer that serves their customers

  • Build trusted relationships with decision-makers and economic buyers at partner organizations

Deal Structuring & Negotiation
  • Design pilot frameworks and commercial models aligned with partner incentives and B2B2C unit economics

  • Structure terms across distribution, rev share, co-marketing, data sharing, and integration pathways

  • Lead negotiation and shepherd agreements to close

  • Partner with legal and leadership to finalize contracts

End-to-End Execution & Onboarding
  • Own the full handoff from signed deal to live partner; no throw-it-over-the-wall dynamic

  • Lead partner onboarding and implementation in lockstep with product, marketing, and ops

  • Ensure integrations launch smoothly, on time, and with clean telemetry from day one

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner through the first 90 days of partner activation

Partner-Led Growth & In-App Optimization
  • Track partner performance against defined KPIs (activation, engagement, conversion, retention)

  • Work cross-functionally with product and marketing teams to translate partner feedback and in-app behavioral insights into concrete engagement and retention improvements for partner-sourced volume

  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts

  • Refine messaging, commercial structures, and pitch materials based on what's working live

  • Build repeatable processes that scale partnership growth over time

What We're Looking For
  • 7–15 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or B2B sales, with direct experience selling into and through B2B2C channels

  • Track record of owning the full deal cycle: prospecting through close, onboarding, and post-launch optimization

  • Experience working across multiple industry verticals, with depth in one or more of: mortgage, insurance, proptech, real estate, home services, or adjacent consumer-facing categories

  • Strong comfort structuring pilots and commercial terms

  • Fluency with CRM tooling (HubSpot strongly preferred) and able to maintain accurate records, manage pipeline hygiene, and run reporting to drive insights

  • Proven ability to negotiate and close complex partnership agreements

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to connect partnership performance to downstream engagement and retention metrics

  • Highly self-directed and comfortable operating in ambiguity

  • Startup experience strongly preferred

Nice to Have
  • Experience distributing a consumer product through enterprise partners (true B2B2C, not just B2B SaaS)

  • Existing network across mortgage, insurance, proptech, home services, HOAs, or PMCs

  • Familiarity with SaaS-style partnerships, platform integrations, or embedded distribution models

  • Experience working with cross-functional product and engineering teams on partner launches and in-app optimization

Why This Role Matters

Distribution is a core growth lever for HINT. This role will directly shape how we scale top-of-funnel acquisition through trusted partners and strategic channels — and will play a central role in turning that partner-sourced volume into engaged, retained users. You won't just close deals; you'll build the partnership engine that powers long-term growth.
