The Stylist Strategist is responsible for driving and evolving Huckberry’s unique style POV across all customer-facing channels—campaigns, editorial, ecommerce, retail, and beyond. This role is equal parts visionary and executor: setting the tone for what “style at Huckberry” looks like, building looks that resonate with our community, and bringing to life stories that bridge product, brand, and lifestyle.

You’ll own the full spectrum of styling direction, from ideation and look development through on-set execution, while also tightening the systems and processes that enable our production team to run efficiently. Collaborating deeply with Design, Merchandising, Marketing, and Content, you’ll ensure every expression of our style is consistent, intentional, and elevated.

This role is based out of our headquarters in Austin, TX; relocation support will be provided to a remote hire.

Responsibilities
  • Define and evolve Huckberry’s distinct style language across all channels: campaign, editorial, ecommerce, and retail. Maintain guidelines that balance timeless utility with modern relevance, partnering with Merchandising to align hero styles and full looks that feel aspirational yet achievable
  • Develop seasonal and evergreen looks that reflect both product intent and merchandising strategy. Serve as the bridge between Brand, Merch, and Design to ensure hero products and styling direction are consistent across briefs, campaigns, and channels
  • Oversee styling from pre-production through on-set execution for campaign and studio shoots. Manage freelance stylists and prep systems to ensure cohesive styling across hero campaigns, ecommerce, and social
  • Own sample procurement and tracking for all productions. Partner with Buyers to streamline workflows and introduce tools or processes that improve speed, accuracy, and visibility across teams
  • Translate product and merchandising strategies into cohesive styling narratives. Collaborate with Art Directors, Producers, and Marketing leads to ensure styling supports both creative storytelling and commercial priorities
  • Balance short-term campaign execution with long-term brand evolution. Infuse trends in ways that feel authentic to Huckberry’s customer, and use performance insights to continually refine direction

Requirements
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in styling, fashion direction, or visual merchandising within an e-commerce, retail, or lifestyle brand environment
  • Proven ability to build looks that drive both brand storytelling and revenue, with a strong grasp of product hierarchy, outfitting, and seasonal merchandising cadence
  • Deep understanding of menswear styling principles; translating fit, fabric, and design details into cohesive, compelling outfits across channels
  • Experience partnering with Merchandising, Buying, and Marketing teams to highlight hero styles, capsule drops, and exclusive collaborations
  • Highly organized with strong sample management, on-set styling, and production coordination skills; able to balance creative execution with operational precision

Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, Vision benefits
  • 401(k) and employer match
  • Annual Huckberry shopping credits
  • Paid Sabbatical leave at 4 years
  • Summer Fridays
