To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Supply Quality Engineer will be based in Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Supplier Quality Engineering Manager. The Supply Quality Engineer will be responsible for supplier development in a manufacturing floor service process; works with suppliers to continuously improve performance, implement process controls and develop quality assurance plans.
Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
- Input and log clamshell measurement reports from metrology lab to support RMA request and supplier action request
- Coordinate SN availability for clamshells and chassis
- Segregate conforming and Non-conforming clamshells into appropriate warehouses
- Coordinate remeasuring of DVT clamshells to new requirements
- Coordinate clamshell measurements (CMM and OMM) in the lab for MP
- Work with customer and supplier to RMA non-conforming clamshells and Chassis
- Participate in supplier Quality System Improvement Plans.
- Guides the Supplier Requests for Change process.
- Performs supplier Quality System audits, corrective and preventive actions with suppliers, researches of non-conformances and supplier performance for key performance indicators.
- Performs dock-to-stock monitoring and part selection activities.
- Provides guidance to project teams for supplied component and supplier qualifications
- Guides teams in identification of risks/hazards relative to new product designs, processes, suppliers and applications.
- Skillful and safe operation of job-related equipment.
- Rate and track supplier’s performance and drive supplier continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain supplier management processes and tools.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related field.
- Manufacturing floor experience required
- ISO 9000 / AS 9100
- Experience in Metrology (Preferred)
- Technical Interpretation & Problem Solving: Capable of interpreting technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and managing abstract and concrete variables to resolve quality-related challenges.
- Tool Utilization Across Domains: Proficient in using a wide range of tools including electronic assembly (schematics, PCB operations), testing equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer), inspection tools (microscope, measuring instruments), and mechanical/electrical tools (taps, dies, alignment tools), along with office software for documentation and reporting.
- Functional Expertise & Process Oversight: Demonstrates advanced technical skills, thorough understanding of company standards and procedures, and the ability to troubleshoot, oversee test processes, and train others effectively.
