As the Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator, you are responsible for a variety of Supply Chain logistics tasks associated with execution of shipments and, if applicable, coordination of reverse logistics program and oversight of dispatching duties for the PPG company fleet.  You will be based out of the North Texas (Ennis) plant and report to the Supervisor of Transportation and Logistics. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain control and archiving of inbound / outbound shipping logs

  • Maintain scheduling system for inbound and outbound shipments for corresponding plant

  • Plan on daily basis upcoming shipments utilizing tools (Internal TMS Dashboard, TMS provider dashboard)

  • Responsible for vetting detention/layover charges

  • Review for accuracy of bills of lading, invoices, packing lists and other shipping documents required for each load

  • Provide international documents as required to brokers and carriers as per SOPs

  • As necessary, provide data and feedback in support of Transportation Management Provider’s RFQs

  • Develop and maintain cordial and professional relationship with carriers

  • Arrange for transfers between plants and external warehouses

  • Accurately enter select loads in the Transportation Management System to support RMAs (Return Material Authorization)

  • Ensure PPG drivers and/or outside carriers are following on-site safety procedures and conducting any necessary pre-shipment inspections

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED plus 3 years of logistics and administrative experience;

  • Dispatching experience a plus

  • Hazmat certification training or certification preferred (or must certify within first 4 months)
