We’re looking for a bold, analytical, and highly driven Supply Chain Optimization Manager to help us become the fastest‑growing pure‑play snacking company in the U.S.

The Opportunity: Supply Chain Optimization Manager

*This position can be remote, but does require over 50% travel. If the candidate is commutable to the Hanover area, then the travel would be less.

The Supply Chain Optimization manager is a strategic, hands-on role responsible for improving performance across the end-to-end supply chain, with immediate emphasis on warehousing, distribution, inventory management, and cost-to-serve optimization.  This position leads cross-functional initiatives that drive margin improvement, enhance service, increase labor productivity, and optimize business processes across multiple operational areas.

This is a high visibility role with broad scope and the flexibility to work on projects ranging from warehouse automation and network design to process standardization, vendor relationships, and strategic business partnerships.  It is well suited for a highly analytical, entrepreneurial individual who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and wants immediate exposure to the full supply chain.  The role has the opportunity to shape network strategy, automation design, and end-to-end supply chain, and it is great for someone who wants to grow quickly in their knowledge of supply chain activities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and fully own optimization initiatives across warehousing, distribution, inventory, transportation, planning, and manufacturing.
  • Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies, quantify opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Build advanced models using Excel and Power BI to support decision-making, scenario planning, KPI tracking, and cost analyses.
  • Improve warehousing performance through cost-per-case reduction, inventory accuracy improvements, labor productivity enhancements, and service-level optimization.
  • Conduct deep dives into network layouts, material flows, slotting, cube utilization, and throughput constraints.
  • Develop business cases for automation, operational changes, and strategic investments (e.g., conveyors, shuttle systems, robotics, WMS/WES enhancements).
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, influencing stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Transportation, Customer Logistics, and Finance.
  • Train and coach functional owners on improved processes, ensuring long-term sustainability before transitioning to new initiatives.
  • Map end-to-end business processes, identify systemic issues, and implement standardized workflows across sites.
  • Support major initiatives including building layouts, facility expansions, automation roadmaps, strategic partnerships, and network redesign.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 5 years experience in supply chain, with emphasis on warehousing, distribution, inventory management, demand or supply planning, customer logistics, and cost-to-serve optimization.
  • Demonstrated analytical, business process and problem-solving experience with the ability to assess complex systems and identify root causes and high-impact opportunities
  • Prior experience engaging cross-functional teams designed to identify analytical and savings efficiencies and design solutions.

Skills:

  • A relationship builder with the ability to lead without immediate oversight
  • Self-starter who thrives working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment, and who can be comfortable with ambiguity, broad scope and dynamic priorities
  • Creative and innovative thinker with proven ability to drive results who can move from concept to implementation with discipline, clarity, and accountability
  • Acts as a business owner, continually seeking margin improvement and operational efficiencies
  • Proven organizational and priority setting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and Power BI preferred.
  • Blue Yonder and D365 experience a plus.

External Recruitment Process:

  • Easy Application (5 mins): Introduce yourself and answer a few key questions to get started.
  • Engaging Chat Interview (20-25 mins): Share your experiences in an online chat, highlighting how your values align with ours.
  • Live Interview: Selected candidates will meet with the hiring manager to explore their alignment with the team and overall Utz company culture.
