Ericsson is looking for a Senior Architect to help shape the next generation of mobile financial services. In this role, you will translate customer needs into software requirements and architecture for secure, scalable financial solutions connecting digital wallets, payments, ledgering, identity, compliance, and partner ecosystems.
You will act as a technical bridge between customers, product stakeholders, and R&D. The role represents Ericsson to customers in the relevant time zone, explains technical trade-offs, and ensures customer needs become clear and implementable requirements. It is well suited to a software architect willing to evolve towards a solution architect role while working close to customers.
What you will do• Front technical discussions with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. Translating customer and business needs into software requirements, target architectures, solution blueprints, interface definitions, and non-functional requirements• Guide software and system-level decisions across applications, API, data, security, observability, resilience, and operational supportability• Work in direct contact with the R&D architects and delivery teams to ensure customer-driven requirements are understood, implementable, supportable, and aligned with roadmap priorities• Partner with security, risk, and compliance stakeholders to embed controls for identity, privacy, fraud prevention, auditability, and regulatory requirements• Support solution shaping, effort estimation, technical risk assessment, and value argumentation for customer and business opportunities• Contribute to architecture governance, technical standards, reusable assets, and continuous improvement across the Ericsson architecture community

The ideal candidate combines strong software architecture experience with the ability to work closely with customers, product stakeholders, and engineering teams. You can translate business and customer needs into clear technical requirements and guide solution decisions for secure, scalable, and supportable financial technology platforms.• Experience working with customers and stakeholders across product, R&D, operations, commercial, and delivery teams• Ability to simplify complex technical topics, translate needs into requirements, and influence decisions at both customer and engineering levels• Extensive experience as a Software Architect, or in software, solution, or platform architecture for complex distributed systems• A solid software development background, including practical coding experience and an understanding of modern development practices• Proven ability to design secure, scalable, API-driven platforms, integrations, and distributed systems• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud-native design, data models, and systems integration patterns• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred qualifications
The following experience is not required but would be valuable in helping the candidate contribute quickly in this role:• Experience from financial services, digital wallets, payments, banking, ledgering, KYC, AML, fraud, compliance platforms, or financial inclusion services• Knowledge of industry standards and protocols relevant to financial services integrations• Familiarity with regulated production environments, auditability, privacy, security, and compliance requirements• Experience with public cloud, SaaS delivery models, and multi-country deployments• Experience working in large-scale R&D organizations with modern software engineering practices

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan : Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
Your Health
Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.
Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson match $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson's full matching contributions of 4%. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
